Was driving at 65 mph with cruise control on when we heard ding ding ding . . . . Service stabilitrac service traction control. . Traction control off. . . . When this happened the cruise control no longer would work. . . . . This keeps happining ever so often. . . My car barely has over 50,000 miles on it. . . And naturally the warranty has expired /or it dosen't cover it. . . . This could be a real saftey hazard if there is a semi truck behind me when it shuts down. . At 50,000 miles a car that u pay 27,000$ for should not be having these kind of issues. . Not to mention all the other recalls we have had this year on this car.
I was traveling 60mph on an expressway with the cruise control on. I stepped on the accelerator to pass a car and the accelerator pedal went to the floor causing the vehicle to accelerate suddenly. I tried to lift the pedal with my foot and use the brakes but neither worked to slow it down. I estimate the car got up to 75mph before I put the transmission in neutral and was able to go off the road safely. We taken the Traverse to the dealership where we purchased it complaining of sudden acceleration while the cruise control was on. The dealership said the vehicle was ok.
