The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the super cruise or cruise control would not deactivate when the on/off button was depressed, causing the steering wheel to flash red and the vehicle to suddenly shift down in velocity. A message "super cruise not available" was displayed on the instrument panel. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
