The traction control goes out randomly and I lose my power steering and all my functions of my car randomly and I have to pull over to turn it off when I'm driving to get it to go back to normal once I restart it it's fine. But it does it randomly for no reason and it's very dangerous because I can't use my steering or pedals or anything. It all stops working until I stop and turn it off then back on. I think it's the throttle body that's causing it but not sure it says online it's a common issue but doesn't say why or what to do. I need it to get fix because I am afraid it'll cause me to get in a wreck.
While driving on the parkway with my 2 young children the power went into reduce engine mode and the error message stability trek and traction control kept blinking this has happened on 4 occasions now I feel unsafe driving my children. I have gotten it looked at now the 4th time it has cost me over 2 grand so far now my mechanic saying it's my fuel pump and fuel sensor this is costing me another grand. If I could afford another vehicle I would trade this truck in. Very unhappy and scared while driving my 2012 chevy Traverse ltz.

While driving the car on the freeway with my kids driving normal when the stabilitrak happened, and the car went from 60 miles per hour to 20 mile per hour on the freeway almost causing a bad accident. We got very scared. I been looking up online on this issue and it seems this is a issue with the gm cars.

Without warning the vehicle loses power and shuts down. The check engine light comes on. When I shut the car off and wait a minute it will start up again with no problem. When I've tried to get a program reading from a repair shop, they were unable to do so because the check engine light had reset itself and no reading was available. At other times the car wouldn't start at all. . . And I have recently replaced the battery.
I was going down the interstate and the stabilitrak, traction control, check engine lights all came on. Engine reduced power light came on I lost all power of the vehicle, I was in heavy traffic and forced off of the road because my engine died. I went from doing 70 mph down to 10 mph and came very close to getting rear ended by a semi truck and trailer. When I got to the shoulder of the road I wasn't able to get my vehicle started back and had to call a tow truck. This has happened on multiple occasions. I have seen where this is a problem in this year model of this vehicle and wondering why it hasn't been recalled yet by the manufacturer before someone loses there life.
While driving on the highway at 65 mph the stability control sensor, abs sensor, and all wheel drive went out all at once, when that happened the car by itself went to 35 mph on the highway and would not allow the car to go over 35 mph.
Car stalls while driving very abruptly. Reduce engine power and service stablitrak comes on. Then traction control warning lights flash. Very very dangerous. Happen while driving car begins to shake violently. Engine light remains on. Happening too often had the same issue with my 2007 chevy equinox. No way this should not be recalled it's definitely a known issue.
Please associated this complaint with tracking #11352061. I wanted to provide an additional pictures. I've watched and read a recall regarding these issues with several Chevrolet models over the years and over 1. 37 million vehicles were recalled. I believe this should be a recall. Attached is the code associated with the problem. Again I own a 2014 chevy Traverse lt warnings have come up twice in 1 week.
Just bought this used 2014 chevy Traverse with 89k on it and not even to the first oil change and the traction control off/service stabilitrak came on. Code said ita the brake pedal position sensor. Replaced that and calibrated it and did not fix problem. Shop said I need to replace whole brake pedal. This repair wouldn't fix the slight hesitation the car has when excelerating. I seen many forums that this could be many things which will be real expenses to keep trying before one work. This is a horrible way to treat people who buy the car that's states error messages that cannot even narrow it down.
While driving along at highway speeds unexpectedly get error messages, service traction control, service stabilitrak, traction control is off, engine power is reduced. Now instead of reducing engine to 3 cylinders the engine is completely turned off. This is very dangerous if this happens in highway traffic as there is no power to maneuver the car onto the shoulder. I have been told by Chevrolet repair center that this is due to a short in the electrical system. Not sure if this is related to NHTSA campaign 14v614000. 0.
Driving and the transmission overheats on long car rides even though the fluids are all fine the traction control code comes on and I lose power to the vehicle after about 20 minutes.
Been having serious issues with the power on turning my SUV on sounds like it's sparking hard under hood and also when the truck runs it jerks and when I go to start it up it tells me something about the air bags the alternator reads 14. 0 volts then drops to 12. 5 volts sometimes it stays there new battery has been put in a gold top and still problems are not going away this should be a recall cause I don't want to have to worry about if it could catch on fire or worst.
Driving on the expressway and the following happened; reduced engine power, service stabiltrack, service traction control warning lights came on while driving at approximately 70mph. The vehicle almost came to a dead stop with traffic behind me along and with opposing traffic. I engaged the vehicle in neutral and coasted to the shoulder with my hazards on. I tried to remain calm with my family in the car since it was almost life or death, I searched the web for an answer and I found that if I turn the car off for a few minutes it would go away, I did that and the issue went away for the time being but it has also reoccurred numerous times since then.
Traction control and stablizer light goes on and off. Radio comes on and off.

Very hard to steer same as complaint in picture.
Auto will not shut off when put in park. Message indicates put in park. Tried several times. Engine will go off, electronics stay on. Would drain battery if left on. Also, bluetooth continues to disconnect. Brakes squeak constantly, from the time it was driven off the lot. Car stutters when you attempt to accelerate. Car has been to dealer many times, supposedly fixed. I was told to try higher octane gas. This should not be necessary. Electrical problems are increasing. We have purchased several Chevrolets, this is the absolute worst vehicle as far as problems which, after 2-1/2 years, have not been repaired. Why is there not a recall??? car is currently at the dealer, again.

After driving about 500yards , speed not a factor, my abs light and traction control light come on when I put code reader in obd port it shows no codes. Shut the vehicle off for few moments. Start it back up and the lights are still on until I drive it about 25 yards and the lights go out. The abs works, I can feel it in the peddle when applied abruptly. I can also hear a slight growling from under the hood. I continue on for about another 500 yards and both lights come back on. I replaced both wheel hub assy in the front, which both looked good .
Recently I started having issues with shuddering while driving at certain speeds. First at 40mph and then more recently at higher speeds. Also today the stabiltrack warning light came on stating that it required service. Rpm's and speedometer also would fluctuate while driving. There are many videos on youtube that point to the throttle body having oil blow by through the throttle body as there is no check valve to keep this from happening. I will be cleaning the throttle body to see if it fixes the problem. I've also seen that the brake position sensor could be the culprit as well. I replaced the ignition coils after seeing the engine fluctuations, but did not replace the sparks plugs as they were recently replaced under 6k miles ago. This seems to be a long standing and wide dispersed issue with this year, make and model of vehicle. Many have seen the power drop while at highway speeds and this bug could cause the mass damage of a transmission if the vehicle were to automatically downshift while at highway speeds, especially if it were to drop to 2nd gear from 5th or 6th on automatic drive. This needs to be looked into and addressed appropriately.
Initially I had an issue with sudden heavy vibration, primarily while turning, was not recording with a fault. Per my service records attached there were several trips try a diagnose and repair the issue. The mysterious issue requiring gm engineer support outside of the local dealership technicians. Shortly after my final service for the vibration issue I reported abnormal shifting during acceleration and was advised that the shifting trained to the driver. The abnormal shifting never resolved itself. Periodically the warning for service stabilitrack and traction control presents and the Traverse performs roughly. This occurs randomly while driving. . The related fault is not recorded either. Recently I have had this occur and the vehicle failed to move even with the accelerator pressed to the floor. I was in my neighborhood but fear that this could have resulted in an accident had it occured on a busier street or highway. I reached out to general motors and cma colonial chevy and they want to perform a diagnostic. I just had a diagnostic performed at an independent mechanic and he advised that the fault codes were not recorded and that my transmissionis failing. History of service with this vehicle leads me to know that paying for a 2nd diagnostic at the dealership will present the same results.
While driving the vehicle will go into reduced power, turn off traction control, turn off stability control. It has also turned off while driving. I looked online and see this has been an issue for vehicles from 2009-2015, with no known for sure fixes. This is obviously a dangerous situation to be in if your vehicle stalls on the highway at high speeds. I dont have money to keep fixing things that may or may not be the problem.
I was driving on the interstate at 60 miles per hour. The car jarred forward , made a popping sound and lost power andthe engine speed dropped. I got off the interstate the car shut down and would not go. The stability trac came on the dash as well as the check engine light. I turned the car off for about 15 seconds and the car started and I drove home. I looked this up on youtube and found out the car does not keep a memory of the code the car throws when this happen. After the car sits all night it "resets" itself and the engine light goes off. This is the third time this has happened and I was lucky it did not stall in the middle of the interstate . This is a huge safe issue I haul my child and granddaughter in this vehicle. This is a serious safety issue and chevy knows about it. Get it fixed, do a recall.
My wife was driving with our three children traveling approximately 60 mph. Her 2014 Chevrolet Traverse suddenly dropped to approximately 5-10 mph and she was forced to swerve off the road, nearly being rear-ended and seriously injured or killed. The check engine light came on, as well as, the engine power reduced light. Just as she made it to the shoulder of the road, the car shut off completely. She tried multiple times to start the car, but had no success. After about 30 minutes of being stranded on the shoulder of the road with my three children, she was able to start the car and drive to the nearest area to safely wait for a tow truck. This is the third time this has happened within the last five months! we have taken it to several different mechanics, including the Chevrolet dealer, and spent a lot of money trying to get it resolved but have had no success. We will no longer put our children in the car which was the reason we purchased it in the first place. This car is unreliable and unsafe and needs to be issued a recall. My entire family was almost killed or seriously injured because of this default in this vehicle.
As I'm driving the check engine comes on, then the truck starts to lose acceleration, then it starts flashing stabiltrak off, traction control off and then it completely shut off! this is the 10th time this has happened within a year!! have tried many small fixes and nothing works.
Was a recall on some power steering pumps and faulty electrical systems in the 2014 chevy Traverse. Car making loud noise when turn wheel. Problem just diagnosed by mechanic. See my VIN not included in recall. Very dangerous. Found because turning the wheel has become difficult and it sounds like engine strained.
I recently got this car from a licensed dealership and I have had nothing but issues. I the car has broken down twice and has been in the shop 3 times. 2 of which were for the same issue. While driving you either feel a constant pull then its almost like it releases and then it speeds up. Then I have a hard time slowing it down. When the car broke down the temp gauge dropped all the way down, ac stopped working and when I pulled over and stopped the car it would start again. After 30 min it started but immediately rev up in rpms to max and wouldn't stop till I turned the vehicle off. They car has been in as I was told it was fixed but it still revs up rpms hard and long, when it shifts it jumps, while driving the vehicle feels as if its loosing power ,the batter levels constantly fluctuate and the steering wheel feels like its trying to jump out of my hands. Jolts me like I've hit a pot hole but there is no pot hole. Electrical issues as far as just barley putting the key in the ignition and the lights do some stuff and all the doors lock, and its set to lock when up to speed. Sometimes when starting the car it will have a week rev and it sounded like it would when you get a jump and your trying to pump the juices. The dealership said it was fixed but it still feeling like its pulling and then speeds up. Rpms still jump up hard and long. This is dangerous and everyone keeps telling me its fixed but it is not. This vehicle was mentioned to be a family car but I cant trust me or my family is safe. It was made 07/14 but has a 2015 VIN number. This car should of been put out of service and never sold to anyone. Since the travers had so many recalls in 2014 which by the way match perfectly and more to what is wrong with this car.
My electronic stability control comes on and off its loose. I push it back in pops out. The tcm female connector/adaptor is faulty and I was told I would have to buy a completely new harness which is ridiculous. The locking mechanism doesn't hold in place so it loses connection to the tcm trans module. And when I contact my local chevy dealer they want me to but a new harness which I $600+++ and the clip/adapter/connector is $22-$29. If im on the freeway my speed can drop to 20mph. On the 215 freeway.
When you put the car in park and go to shit it off the car doesn't senses that it's parked. Will not shut off completely and can't lock or arm car. Restarted car several times and still signals the car is not in park.
In the past few months my 2013 chev Traverse has had the reduced engine power problem experienced by thousands of other owners. It has happened going 70 mph on the highway and 30 mph on city streets. Usually I pull over to the side of the road. Turn off the engine for a minute then the car will start and operate as normal for a few days or a few weeks. In the past month I have been in fear for my life. I was driving 70 mph on the highway and my engine totally shut down. I had to avoid a tractor trailer in the right lane and coast over to the side of the road with no power steering. The car would not restart. I had the car towed to my mechanic. After the car sat idle for a day it started up. Codes were cleared and it ran normally again for weeks. Last week while traveling at 35 mph on a city street the engine shut off. I was able to get the car to the side of the road with no power steering, but still impacting the flow of traffic. A local police officer helped me push the car further off the road onto the sidewalk. It would not restart. I had it towed to my mechanic. 24 hours later the car started ok. Codes were cleared and it once again could operate normally. My mechanic consulted to a gm mechanic and they agreed the problem is the ignition switch. My Traverse has not had a recall for ignition switch replacement. I am aware that gm ignition switch problems have killed over (100) gm vehicle owners. Millions of gm cars have been recalled and this problem has been fixed by replacing the ignition switch, ignition lock cylinder and ignition key. Many more gm vehicles like my 2013 chev Traverse should be recalled and fixed or more people will die. In fact my guess is hundreds of additional drivers and passengers have died and the problem ignition switch was not blamed for these additional deaths.
Was at a traffic light near my job when my car suddenly shuts off, never happened before so as I try to restart it wouldn't start at all. I caused a lot of traffic due to this. Living in nyc that's a big no no. As I looked on the dash while keep trying to get it to start different light started to come on the car was going out of wack. Finally a food cart guy seen me and helped me out by jumping my car with his food cart battery talk about embrassing Chevrolet needs to deal with this problem, never knew it was a common issue until I google and this problem happen to many people but yet there's no recalls. I am very disappointed and makes me want to give this car back.
While driving, my check engine light came on. Also traction light came on, loss of power came on, and stability traction turned off. My speed reduced from 40 to 25. I shut the car off and now only the check engine light is on.
After making a right turn while driving in traffic in a school zone traction control went off then on check engine light went on service stabilitrak flashed engine power is reduced flashed had to pull over and restart car, engine light remained on ecm was replaced less than 3 yrs ago for the same thing at ed morse sawgrass in sunrise, FL.
While driving I experienced traction control off; service stabilitrac; service traction control and then the car went into reduced engine power. I was in traffic and had to quickly make an unsafe turn to avoid being rear-ended by the vehicle behind me. This has happened twice now.
