The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the engine suddenly began to sputter and the check engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The contact indicated that the rear differential had previously failed and was replaced in 2019 however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 88,857.
While stopped and ready to move forward when I press the accelerator the car jerks only from stop to go forward it hesitates. It has the same transmission symptoms as other car I had. I’m very concerned about this issue because a transmission it’s very expensive and can’t afford to fix it due to covid-19 have no money. Considering how much the dealers charge for a diagnostic it’s ridiculously expensive just to check a problem they already know that exists. Please help.
Component premature failure. 1. Purge valve replaced at 61,048 miles 2. Coolant flange and seal replaced at 61,511 miles 3. P0299 indicates problem with turbo charger compromised boost power, - injector control pressure sensor - egr - map - accelerator pedal input I have to pay a expensive diagnostic from the dealer to find out the issue, it’s too expensive to do that now after covid-19 money is scarce.
The car is spuddering when I drive and, its really unsafe. When I try to drive it basically skips when I try to drive.
My car is literally spuddering technically skipping then, jerking back. It's a safety hazard already almost hit a couple cars because, its jerking I need help trying to get my car changed out. This is a huge defect on the car. Please helpp.
I have had to take my vehicle in several times for repair I am the first owner of this vehicle and it only has 87,000 miles on it. At 87,000 miles I have had to have the valve cover replaced for leaking. I have also had to have an oil pan leak replaced. An oil pan pin gasket replaced. And now my seat belt indicator light is not making noise when the seatbelt is not buckled in. I have tried to drive without a seatbelt on city streets and highways to see if the light would make noise and it does not the light is on on the dashboard but no noise is made to indicate that the seat belt is not on.
Noticed coolant reservoir was empty. Put it in the shop and it is the turbo that chevy manufactures with the engine. It is leaking. The vehicle is only a 2015 with 34,000 miles, the turbo should not be leaking already. It does need to be replaced. I have gotten all the maintenance done.
While driving 40mph vehicle seemed to shift gears while in drive gear. While vehicle was in motion, vehicle would not steer (steering wheel locked) and would not accelerate. Vehicle was unable to turn. Vehicle behaved as if it was in parked gear, even though it was in drive gear and in motion. While trying to stop, I was unable to steer, but was able to run off the road into a parking lot. Once stopped, moving gear shifter did not seem to switch gears. I tried putting the gear shifter in park, or reverse and nothing happened. Vehicle would not let me turn the wheels and would not go forward or reverse. Error lights illuminated were malfunction indicator, stabilitrack, park, and power steering light. Chevrolet informed of issue. Chevrolet refused to fix vehicle. Vehicle only has 40,510 miles. Chevrolet refuses to admit it has a problem with transmissions or power steering in these vehicles. I am lucky I was able to make it into a parking lot and not run into anyone or anything.
The vehicle will stall while driving and not turn back on unless the vehicle is in park and the key is taken out and put back in. This is a severe safety hazard as it has almost caused me to crash multiple times and the dealership says they cannot find anything wrong with it.
