Power Steering Light On problems of the 2016 Chevrolet Trax

One morning when going to start the vehicle, the power steering would not work and the power steering indicator light would remain on. The vehicle was parked in my driveway. After a couple of hours, I would start the vehicle and the power steering would work with no issues. The next morning, the same thing happened, and I drove it to the dealership. I have to pay $1,600. 00 to replace the entire steering system - everything: steering column, computer/electrical, alignment, etc. My chevy Trax is only 4 years old and has 25,000 miles. I keep it regularly serviced only with the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. The only positive is that this did not happen while I was driving, but could have be very dangerous if so.

Upon getting in the vehicle and turning it on, the steering wheel would not turn . It was locked and would not all ow me to steer it. I was attempting to drive it to another location in my yard, but the steering wheel was not allowing me to turn it. I have red other owners have similar complaints online. This is a safety hazard. And could cause a car wreck . This vehicle came from the manufacturer this way. This is intermittent and when it was happening the steering wheel light with an exclamation point lit up in the dashboard. .
