1 Electrical System problem

I am driving the vehicle and suddenly the information center and entertainment center will suddenly go black without warning. This will stay black for approximately 10 seconds. Followed by 2 chimes. A series of 4 lights on the drivers side front dash will come on. I believe this is related to the forward collision system(the lights that come on). The entertainment and information center then come back on without any errors or messages. I noticed this issue occurred all spring, summer and fall of and part of winter of 2025. Then it stopped thru mid April 2026 and then started again. The adaptive cruise is also shutting off without warning saying it's temporarily unavalable.

Since brand new the electronics have been defective. The lane keep assist has to be turned off during slippery road conditions because the computer jerks the steering wheel during normal driving where white road markings, such as merging lanes are present. During highway speeds on slippery snow or ice it nearly sends the vehicle into a dangerous maneuver. The backup camera was defective intermittently since it was new and was unable to be corrected by the dealer shop during its first new vehicle service. The rear camera has now gone completely out which is standard safety equipment. A dealership has ordered a new backup camera part. The transmission jerks and lurches. Odd shifting is normal for this vehicle which could lead to transmission failures which could lead to a collision.

The bluethood and carplay not work everytime I conect and driving long drives take me out I can cinect back and driving I don't feel save drving with the map using my carplay take me out so for safty I use my phone insted I car bcs I try to ge some on time and follow the map but take out and I don't where to you get distrstive no redcomend usinf the carplay map no safe is better to use the phone my point is I am paying for this to carplay to work and I can't use it I am goimg to call lemon law th4y sell me a difect car can be fix is not working correct I have this issiue for almos a year my car is a 2025 Chevrolet Trax activ I take 4 time to the dealear to fix it but they told they can't and call more then 20 time to on star and still have the issue.

The windows will not go down !!! it’s a safety issue as well as the car is fully shut down and the system will not shut off. . I have removed the keys opened the doors locked the doors everything is still on besides the engine. I tried restarting the car and turning off again it will not shut down ! everything is still on! the main safety concern is the windows !!!!.

Dashboard screen and video screen have randomly "blacked out" multiple times. Pairing with I-phone and android randomly stops working, wifi and bluetooth randomly not working. It happened on day of purchase and was supposedly fixed. About I month ago I had regular service and has frequently occurred since then. Brought it in today, they couldn't fix and said they needed to call chevy engineer team. Was told car not safe to drive, was given a loaner/rental.

The first problem began at approximately 5,000 miles. After refueling, the vehicle’s transmission would slip severely. The slipping continued to occur intermittently after that point. I brought the vehicle to a dealership initially, I was told that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. After further testing, the dealership identified a transmission issue related to technical service bulletin 25-na-211 and stated that the repair was completed. At approximately 8,000 miles, an additional issue occurred where the check engine light illuminated and a warning appeared indicating that the brakes had stopped working. This was extremely concerning and created a serious safety risk. Following the transmission repair, a new and more dangerous issue developed. The vehicle now fails to accelerate properly from a complete stop. When attempting to accelerate, it becomes stuck at approximately 1 mph for around 45 seconds before finally moving. This happens intermittently and creates a high risk of collision when entering traffic or crossing intersections. These issues—transmission slipping, brake warning alerts, and failure to accelerate—pose a serious safety hazard to myself and others on the road. The vehicle has been taken in for service, but the problems have not been fully resolved. I am requesting that this issue be investigated as a potential defect affecting this vehicle.

I am reporting a safety concern involving my 2025 Chevrolet Trax 2rs (VIN: [xxx] ). After a service visit at autonation Chevrolet spokane valley concerning all the following issues on October 31, 2025 (repair order #xxx), the lane keep assist system stopped functioning entirely after that being the main concern I was going into the dealership to get resolved once it tried to automatically steer me into the other lane at 60mph almost causing a life threatening collision. Prior to the visit, the system worked but was malfunctioning— the dashboard displayed the green lane symbol, and the activation button engaged the feature. After service, the symbol no longer appears, and the button lights up but does not activate the system. This change was not authorized, not documented in the repair order, and was never disclosed to me. I believe the lane keep assist system was intentionally disabled or tampered with during service, which poses a serious safety risk. I am also experiencing other unresolved issues including engine ticking, dashboard brightness malfunction, infotainment freezing, and transmission hesitation. I am requesting a formal investigation into whether this dealership improperly disabled a federally regulated safety feature without consent or disclosure. I began experiencing multiple mechanical and safety-related issues within the first few hundred miles of ownership. These include a persistent metallic ticking noise from the engine compartment, sluggish acceleration, infotainment screen freezing and bluetooth malfunction, lane keep assist attempting to steer the vehicle into another lane at highway speeds, and a non-responsive brightness knob. These issues pose safety risks and match known gm bulletins (e. G. , 23-na-094, 24-na-242, 24-na-063, pit6362). I’ve scheduled my first service appointment for October 31, 2025, and installed a dash cam to document future incidents. I am concerned about the vehicle’s reliability and safety.

Blind spot indicator, as well as radio and gauge display are acting less than appropriate blind spot indicator/driver side: engaging without any presence of caution radio and gauge displays: turning back on after vehicle has shut off forward crash collision detection intermittently functions less than equal- has failed in heavy traffic upon forward cars braking, leading to the need to hard-brake.

The electronic instrument cluster and all gauges (speedometer etc. ) goes blank while driving the vehicle. The instrument cluster comes back on in about a minute. This was a recall item on the 2024 chevy Trax but apparently has not been recalled on the 2025 (same issue on the same car). This has happened multiple times on this vehicle.

I just purchased this vehicle. I found that the fuel filler neck has a leak which is a fire risk. I was initially promised that the part would be replaced in a week, but recently found that the part is back ordered because this is a prevalent issue with 2025 models. At the dealer I was mislead into thinking this isn’t a big issue when it is, I was told I could continue to drive the vehicle with minimal risk but gas has been leaking in my grass and causing it to change colors as well as paying more for gas despite being sold on great gas mileage. To make matters worse worse the vehicle is starting to sputter and has less than 2k miles. I feel that this should be a national recall before someone gets hurt. Chevy Trax are affordable for tons of people if all of us are in combustible vehicles the environment is bound to take a hit. Please help.

I am very unsure what is going on, but when I am in reverse my whole dash loudly rattles and vibrates the whole car. My front door speakers also keep going out with makes me think we may have a wiring issue.

No cold ac only hot, car temps hit 107 as of 3/19/25 is believed to be the evaporator system. I have an 8 month old baby this is very dangerous.

After shifting from reverse to drive, the main dashboard display went completely black and stayed black for the remainder of my drive cycle. During this incident, the infotainment screen remained working as normal. The dashboard display returned to normal operation at the next key-cycle (I waited 10 minutes and started again). Incident occurred February 19, 2025. It was dangerous because I could not see my speed, the engine temperature, or be aware of any warnings (had there been any). The engine appeared to run normally. I haven't driven again to test if the problem reoccurs. I haven't had the opportunity to bring to the dealership to evaluation.

I’ve had my 2025 chevy tracks for less than a year at first having issues in January 2025. I was driving back from my son‘s birthday party and the entire dash just went black. I could not see the mile per hour I was going and I could not see my radio my entire front dash just blacked out for almost a minute. I was driving at the speed of 70 miles an hour when this occurred putting myself and others at risk I was able to pull over on the side of the highway to see the issue going on with my vehicle. I turned off my vehicle and turned it back on thank you. Maybe that would resolve the issue, but it clearly didn’t. I contact gm. I contact the dealership dutch miller and explain to them the issue that did did occur. I took it into a shop. The dealership looked at it. They updated it the system in my car. Which I thought that resolved the issue for a few months and now I’m back to the dash going black when I’m driving, took it back to the dealership again and they said that they couldn’t find any issues and we just gotta wait until a recall occurs with gm. Been contacting general motors about this issue. This is a safety hazard and extremely dangerous when you’re going speed limit at high speed and you cannot see anything on your dash it is terrifying and scary especially when you have your family in the car. Hopefully gm gets this fixed. It’s a brand new car should not have any issues.

The car electrical system restarts itself sporadically when I’m driving. I have taken it to the chevy dealer multiple times and they keep saying nothing is wrong. However, when I’m driving all the screens just go black without any warning and comes back on in about a minute. This issue occurred within the first month of having this car and it was brand new.

On October 22, 2025 I drove 10 miles from my home. I turned off and parked the vehicle at approx. 8:58 am. Within 2 minutes I notices quite a bit of smoke coming from under the hood. I called the fire department and within 10 minutes the entire front of the car was on fire. The vehicle from front bumper through the dashboard was completely destroyed. There were no warning lights on. I purchased the vehicle on June 5th 2024. My insurance CO. Did the appraisal and deemed it a total loss of course. The dealership and general motors refuse to do anything to investigate. I have documentation of all calls. General motors told me they do not put anything in writing.

While driving, both dash screens will go black for 30 seconds or so and then restart. This blackout includes the speedometer, dash lights, radio etc (the entirety of both screens. When taken to the dealership, I was told that I would have to leave my car until the problem was reproduced. Even with picture proof of the incident. There is no way to make it produce the issue.

I purchased this vehicle in the summer of 2024. Only after a few months of driving it, I began to have a weird issue with my phone being connected via bluetooth. This was only an issue when playing media from my phone, it is not an issue when listening to the regular radio. It would not happen all the time, just sporadically and without any correlation I could identify. The issue would present as a weird crackling noise through the speakers, as if there was an issue with a connection. After a while of this happening sporadically, the cracking noise would be accompanied by my back-up camera looking like a fish bowl. The dealership wasn't able to get me in for an appointment until January 3, 2025. It's important to note that this issue did not come with a dash light coming on. Prior to my January service appointment, my backup camera completely stopped working and gave me the notice on my dash to "service vision system". Upon taking my car to the dealership for my appointment, they informed me that they were ordering me a new backup camera and I'd have to come back for it to be installed. But the technician did some updates on my car for the bluetooth system and should be resolved. Today, January 13, 2025, the crackling noise has come back and I will be notifying the dealership. Chevrolet has not identified a cause for this, but upon my research, owners of both the 2024 and 2025 Trax experience the same, or similar, issue with their vehicle with no resolution from the dealer.

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that on two separate occasions while driving at highway speeds during sunset, the forward collision avoidance feature engaged unintendedly. Due to the failure, the vehicle independently came to an abrupt stop with a red light flashing on the windshield. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the diagnostic test indicated two lost connections, and the electrical system was reset. After the system reset the message "service side detection system" was displayed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

The instrument cluster (speedometer etc. ) and info system goes blank periodically while we are driving the vehicle. The entire cluster goes black, then after about 30 seconds to a minute it comes back on. This was a recalled item on the 2024 chevy Trax, but apparently it the recall did not extend to the early 2025. This is very concerning issue, especially when driving on the freeway at night. I was advised by the service writer at the dealership that I need to leave the vehicle with them for 5 to 7 days so they can conduct diagnosis even though I schedule an appointment with them 2 months ahead of the appointment and described what the issue was.

While driving on the interstate at about 65 mph both the screen for the speedometer and the screen with the radio controls went totally black/blank. After about 2-3 minutes it came back on. The car continued to operate normally when this occurred. The car is new with only about 400 miles.

Electrical system (sound system, bluetooth, graphics, and backup camera), and automatic braking - available for inspection screen glitches using apple car play (wireless and wired), and in general (have pictures and videos) backup camera is a fishbowl and stays on when driving at 45 mph or at any speed (have video) car electrical system stays on when doors are shut, engine off and key removed for prolonged amounts of time (have video) does not brake, only flashes and chimes when driving between 5-50mphs - if I was to get into an accident and the car did not stop itself driving in the range it's supposed to work then that will be an even larger issue at hand. Noticed sound issue when sitting in the car with sales person on the phone with onstar and didn't think of it being an issue, and they noticed it to. Then the issue kept going on and more things were happening so, I brought to the dealership on 06/05/2024 for the first time for mentioned issues and told they could not duplicate because the car was built by robots. Returned to the dealership on 06/14/2024 for a second time and was advised that they would have the car for a week - was spoken to like I was undereducated and belittled by staff. Told to not get confused when signing paperwork for loaner. Car has been returned as of 6/15/2024, and was advised that they didn't do much and the sound system was due to the settings being adjusted and not at factory setting 0 (what is the point of the settings if you cannot adjust the sound, it's been like this for decades now - have on invoice). Overall, I am highly upset with this dealership and car manufacturer because although it may seem like pointless electrical issues - if something else malfunctions it could be detrimental. Lastly, the dealership could not comprehend the videos, or photos I sent and I could not figure out how to explain something that wasn't hard to figure out. I don't appreciate being blamed twice now for issues that I did not cause.

Vehicle’s digital dash will go completely black, will not respond to touches, radio will intermittently disconnect from apple carplay. Radio replaced, problem persists. Yes the problem has been duplicated on numerous occasions by two separate dealerships and no resolution has been reached. No warning lights, no notifications, just sudden disconnection and reconnection or disconnection without any reconnection of device with non-responsiveness and occasional blacking out of screen on car. This has been ongoing since the purchase of the vehicle in may 2024, still no resolution.

My 2025 chevy Trax is a safety and illeagll intrusion problem, by allowing fab key kit to bought and clone a 2025 electrical safety vehicle locks, doors, windows which makes this vehicle electrical locking system useless and allows anybody to enter and vandalize the interior and causing a health hazard when entered by anybody other than the paid owners. This vehicle should be on a " safety alert" and electrical need to be made.
