I noticed there are 5 recalls on the yr make and model of my SUV and I need it fixed plz.
Ball joint on front drivers side apparently broke. . . Vehicle at a dealership now to determine if the weld is bad or what the issue is. I was simply turning into the driveway when the car came to a sudden stop due to wheel rotating . Tow truck driver stated he had seen this happen with this exact yr and model of Trax. He mentioned a man had his vehicle 1 week and this very same issue had occurred. I did find recalls concerning this make and model however my vehicle did not apply. . . I would very much like this issue to be investigated to be sure the recall does not need to be amended for additional vehicles. This incident could have been catastrophic if it would have occurred just a few minutes before at regular speed.
2weeks after purchasing this car with aprox. 350 miles on the car the tires were bald . The dealer replaced the tires and said they saw no reason for this to have happened. Now with about 26,000 miles on the car I am being told the tires are bad again and I need to replace them. I am not understanding why the tires are wearing so quickly.
I have less than 24;000 miles and my front driver side tire is almost bare and passenger front is not much better. I went to see about warranty and you only warranty it for 7500 miles now the tires that are on it are discontinued and can't get now what's!? can't afford 4 new tires. I think chevy should help me with replacing my tires on my wonderful teas. Please help get this going. The tires are not safe to really drive and be on the road. I bought a new car so I would be safe.
August 2020 at about 20k miles took vehicle in for oil change at dealer. Added recommended tire rotation. Everything is fine. I inquire about the recal on the lower control arms and parts will be ordered and should be called. No call! may 2020 - take car back to dealership for code regarding the turbo charger (which needed to be replaced because wastegate was sticking) they also were finally able to install lower control arm parts that they never called me about. This is about 30k miles. Dec 31, 2020 at about 36k miles I take in for oil change and tire rotation. I am now being told my left front wheel stud is cross threaded and I have uneven wear and require an aligment. I'm assuming they did not align my car while installing that part from the recall and their tech cross threaded the stud on my wheel. I will be going back tomorrow because this was not a problem until they installed the new control arm which would require them to take the tire off. I'm very frustrated because they were already trying to put the blame back on me, however, they are the only people that have moved the tires. I truly hope guaranty Chevrolet in santa ana, CA do right by me and take care of something that could have only been done about 6k miles ago at there service shop.
The tires have a manufacture defect on them causing abnormal wear, tires are new and when I took car back to dealer they refuse to change them. I refuse to buy another set due to I should not have to on a car that I really didn't want. The engine is not powerful enough to maintain a speed at 70mph it surges.
I was driving down the the highway and without any notice the tire blew out. After inspection of the tire I noticed the inner wall of the tire had exploded. There were no sharp objects and appeared to be a spontaneous blow out.
The dash and radio has gone out since purchasing the car 9/2018. I called dealer they said they awaiting the update from GMC. Yet today this have I received a update on the computer in the dash. It's been 14 months. They radio just shuts off and won't come back on. I have taken it to service department by the time I drove there the radio came back on. I had the car serviced and the alignment was out. No one told me. I had to look at the service paperwork myself to find that there was a recall on the control arm weld. I had the recall fixed in 6/2019. On 11/4/2019 I went to get in my car and driving and the brakes felt like they went out. Then the abs light came on and said I needed it services. They dealer still have my car and is stating it's a wheel sensor and not covered under warranty. A light over the license plate broke and I had to have that replaced. Once again they keep blaming customer or GMC for the parts or defects. Yet make customers pay. They say they are at the mercy of the parts department. Also that I wanted service but didn't want to pay for it. So now they are trying to charge me $200 stating it was hit from debris which my car hadn't left my drive way in a month. I think the wheel sensor may have gotten broken when they repairs the control arm weld in June. But are trying to blame customer for it. So it's not covered under warranty.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that the front and rear passenger’s side tires continued to experience loss of air pressure. After replacing the tires, the failure continued to occur. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 39,000.
I have been sent a pretty egregious recall by gm. I made an appointment with the dealer I purchased the car from. Dealership told me they had to order the part. It's been a month. When I went to the dealership, they said the part was not in. Meanwhile, my friend had her recall fixed there. This is regarding a joint in one or both front lower control arms that can separate your tires from the vehicle. Pretty scary, but I am getting nowhere with the Chevrolet people. I call every day. How can you help me ?.

We purchased our 2018 chevy Trax January 2018. In approx. July we were notified of the factory recall for the lower control arms. Up until this point we have been bringing our Trax in for oil changes and tire rotations to dale earnhardt jr Chevrolet. The day I dropped off my Trax for the recall inspection I was told that both my front tires were in extreme hazardous condition and they needed to be replaced. I declined purchasing new tires at that point because I wanted a second opinion. Reason being how could they become "extremely hazardous" in such a short period of time. As it be upon inspection both of my lower control arms were found to be faulty. My vehicle was kept for approx. 6 weeks for repair. During that time I spoke with several different tire dealerships regarding the impact the control arms would have on the wear of my tires and every single one of them concurred that it would absolutely have a impact on the wear of my tires. At that point I had just alittle over 40,000. Per the tire experts new tires are expected to last at least 50,000 miles. I talked to the dealership and they would not cover the cost but offered me a discounted rate. I then opened a case with gm and was told gm would not cover the cost of the tires either. I am trying to find out who is responsible for making this decision. If the recall clearly states a faulty control arm could cause your tires to toe out and create issues with your tire tread which mine did why is gm not covering the cost of the tires. Would I have had to have a crash to have them replaced?.
While on the highway, my truck went hard right while my steering wheel was in straight position. I asked my passenger did you feel that . They said yes . It was very scary and happens very sporadic. Also the brakes seem to be some timey with stopping efficiently, like you either stop too quick or not fast enough. I'm not sure why my VIN has not appeared in this recall when clearly my vehicle has the same issues and within the make model and year.
My Trax has been on recall for over 50 days and I have not recieved a part to have it fixed. I'm very disappointed in gm for not making these parts in a timely manner.
The feature on the car that notifies you that the tire pressure sensor is failing may not be working. Currently my tire pressure on my dashboard is reporting that the psi on my right rear tire is 19 psi. However when I put an air gage to the tire its reading 34 or 35 psi. I have taken it to a tire shop so that they can put more air and they also state the pressure is fine.
When I first purchase the car it was fine a couple of months later my tires started to buckle when there was no snow because the car would slippery on the dash board. . Also the speed of the great couple months later it would not pick up speed.
I declined preferred tire care plus (2012) 60 months $11. 78/ mo. 7/7/2016 never in my new car purchase did gm ever propose such as plann. They have greater working knowledge of tire manufactures than the public dose, so I hold them responsible for their business practices. Safety has been casted a side for profit. The manufacture continental will not warranty their tires with the purchaser. My vehicle was purchased 7/7/2016 now at 10,200 miles in 10 months with a tire blowout 4/12/2017. Road conditions, clear day temperature 60's 6:50am on a major hwy 141 in earth city mo. The traffic light, clean highway no reason not to see deburi on the road. Vehicle has tire sensor capabilities, never indicated low tire pressure. Indication never happen until after the tire blew. I noticed road noise, so I changed lanes, it did not go away, but now the tie sensor on the dash show the tie indicator. I drove off the hwy to change the tire. It was obvious the tire blew out as a defective tire. How could I cause the inside wall bursting. Elco dealer ship would not warranty the tire based on their denial of a extended warranty I had to purchase a new tire which I now have no faith of being safe for $136. 00. With only 10,200 mile and 10 months old I can not feel safe with this type of performance. I could have lost control and killed others not to mention my self. How can both companies deny knowledge of such a product defect when they propose you buy a extended warranty. Sounds like they have working knowledge of this tires performance not known by the purchaser. Please let me know what can be done about my tires on the entire vehicle. I'm worried about future performance.
