| Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problems |
The fuel gague registered about 1/4 full. I put 19 gallons of fuel in the tank. When I cranked the vehicle, the message was low fuel and the red light came on while the gage indicated empty. I parked the car for a couple of days and turned on the ignition several times with the same result. Today I cranked it and the gage shows that it is full and the message and red light are gone. My concern is that it will do it again when we are away from home and the vehicle will stop running. I have yet to contact a dealer since our local dealer went out of business.
I will be driving on a half a tank of gas, just up to town, 1mi, all of a sudden, it goes to low fuel and I will stall. I was stuck on the side of the road with 6 kids for 2 hours before I could find help. This happens all the time. I can have almost a full tank and park on a hill and it will go red and low fuel. Cannot get any help with this problem.
