My rear window wiper motor wiring harness caught on fire on my 2006 Chevrolet Uplander which in turn caused all other electrical items ex. Electric doors, locks, all windows to stop operating which made us stuck in the vehicle with a load of children while it was burning! if it wasn't for a prison guard going down the road we could have burnt up if he wasn't there to help us! other things in the past that have occurred with this vehicle are. . Have had to replace each wheel hub twice which has caused tie rod ends to break, the tires to wear out quickly and this vehicle has cost me over $5000 in 2 months because of the obvious poor manufacturing.
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander. On two occasions, the nut that holds the bolt together on the windshield wipers became loose after it snowed. The bolt was replaced and a carter pin was not used to keep the bolt in place. The dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle in for a diagnostic. The contact refused, therefore, the dealer stated that they could not assist. The current mileage was 45,000 and failure mileage was 40,000.
