The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander. The contact stated that when driving at low speeds and attempting a turn in either direction, the vehicle would lock hesitate and become resistant to turning. The vehicle was inspected by both the dealer and an independent mechanic who advised that the hub assembly would need to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure continuously recurred for three years and the vehicle had been repaired three times for the same failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,400.
