This unit when steering input to the left makes a humming noise synonymous to the steering knuckle recall bulletin. When I took it to the dealer for diagnosis they asked for serial number that I provided and they stated my unit is not up for the recall and now what is my recourse?? I have spouse and 3 toddlers and commute daily at 110 km per hour for over 300 km. I am quite worried and afraid if something should fail mechanically as the noise is from the drivers side and puts us in the direct line of oncoming traffic for a potential head on collision and the dealer reps were not at all sympathetic or concerned and just brushed me off without offering an option at the very least. Soon after the purchase of the van I had a problem with to much play in the steering and noise in the front end. I took it back to the dealer and they said they could not verify the problem, so we went back numerous times ,finally in 4-20133 they replaced the steering shaft. It seem to be okay for a while but after driving about 2000 miles it was loose again. My warrantee has ended so the dealer says I have to pay for another shaft. How many times should this be replaced to be considered safe? has anyone else had this complaint?.
