The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the rear end and front passenger’s side of the vehicle would vibrate with an abnormal, clunking sound coming from the vehicle. The abs warning light would illuminate on the instrument panel when the failure occurred. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed him that the rear suspension trailing arm was defective and needed to be replaced. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 10v110000 (suspension) which he linked to the failure however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 209,000.

4 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2013

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. The contact stated that upon inspection, it was noticed that the trailing arm had failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the trailing arm had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure and current mileage was 100,000. Mah.

5 Suspension problem

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. The contact stated that when driving over bumps at various speeds, the vehicle performed as if there were no suspension system. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, where the contact was informed that the rear bushings fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
