My van hesitates between 2 and 3 rpm's. Especially going up a hill, the engine light will blink for a few seconds. Then engine light continues to stay on. . The drivers side door is malfunctioning. . Wheel bearing in the rear need replacement. . And there does appear to be an electrical issue. . Radio skips, interior lights don't work at all. . The drivers side seat doesn't heat. Theres barely any heat even when gauge reads the engine is normally warm. .

2 Wheel problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 07/01/2017

The chassis has a serious rust issue as I've never seen before. The rust issue is one that you would not even see on a 60 year old car. It caused the rear wheel and all of its components to break free. I do have pictures (it's dark out right at the moment but I can by morning) I have been trying to find a solution for this for quiet a while now.

3 Wheel problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 10/24/2015

While driving north on dagsboro road I crossed the railroad tracks and the rear axle on the passenger side broke catapulting the vehicle into a telephone pole on the left side of the road and causing the vehicle to turn over two times. I don't know if it was turning end over end or sidewise. The telephone pole broke off at the bottom and also at the top leaving the top hanging on the wires. I didn¿t realize that the left rear tire had come off until the car was being moved to the salvage yard. The state of delaware uniform collision report indicates that the cause of the accident was inattentive driving. I told cpl albert at the time of the accident that I didn¿t know what happened but I did remember being sleepy and mentioning that I was planning to stop at the smyrna rest area to take a nap. The rest area was at least an hours drive ahead of us so I didn¿t think I was in any immediate danger of falling asleep. I have communicated with cpl albert several times since the accident in an effort to have the reason for the accident changed from inattentive driving to mechanical failure. When I showed the picture of the broken axel to my mechanic he suggested that the car was catapulted on to the telephone pole. I am scheduled to go to the ¿justice of the peace court of the state of deleware in and for sussex county court no. 3 ,23730 shortly rd. Georgetown DE 19947 (302)856-145 ¿ at 9:00 am on Tuesday December 22, 2015 to plead my case. I think it is important to report the problem even if I should lose the case.

5 Wheel problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 02/13/2015

2007 chevy Uplander cv axle splines not long enough to fit all the way into hub splines cause shuddering from cv axle wobble. Frequent clicking from changing gear to gear is a result of the cv axle spinning inside the hub (press brake and gas) the remedy for this problem of shuddering and stalling at when at a go from a stop is the replace cv axle with one that has a longer shaft with splines that actually extend through the hub so that the hub nut threads do not enter the hub bearing and the cv axle splines run all the way through. The wobbling on take off is from the axle not gripping inside the hub, sort of like a dradle as the hub does not completely grip the axle shaft.

Failure Date: 01/01/2015

2007 chevy Uplander cv axle splines not long enough to fit all the way into hub splines cause shuddering and hesitation from cv axle off balance wobble. Frequent clicking from changing gear to gear while vehicle still is a result of the cv axle spinning inside the hub (press brake and gas) the remedy for this problem of shuddering and stalling when at a go from a stop or transitioning to slowing down is to replace the cv axle with one that has a longer shaft with splines that actually extend through the hub so that the hub nut threads do not enter the hub bearing and the cv axle splines run all the way through the hub (instead of partially/less than halfway). The wobbling on take off is from the axle not gripping inside the hub, sort of like a dradle, as the hub does not completely grip the axle shaft the centripetal force goes off balance.

8 Wheel problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 11/12/2014

There are 4 recalls listed on this site for my vehicle. I am currently having these listed problems with my vehicle. I called gm and they refuse to pay for these repairs due to "my vehicle is out of warranty". I told them that a warranty has nothing to do with a recall and they agreed! however, gm will not cover these repairs! I called the phone number given on this site and was told there are no recalls. . . . . . . . I will never purchase a gm vehicle and I will expose them every way possible. This is completely unacceptable!.

10 Wheel problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 02/14/2014

I purchased this vehicle from a private owner on 2/14/14. The dashboard lights do not work which is a problem at night, which means I can only drive it during the day and without it lighting up there are no codes available. I do not know how fast I am going on the highway, or if I am low on fuel, or in any other kind of danger. One evening I was on my way home from a family members house at night and it was raining and I was so afraid. I had no lights on the dashboard, so I had no idea how fast I was going. Also, a new battery was put in the van on 2/14/14, and on 2/17/14 the entire vehicle died on me in the hospital parking garage. I had to have it towed to a repair shop. They said that the battery was not supporting the electrical system in the car, even though it was the battery that was recommended by the vehicle manual. I travel a lot with my church and am so afraid that this vehicle is going to leave me stranded on the highway or worst. The wheels at times seem as though they are about to come off. I put two brand new tires on it when I purchased it. The tire company said the other two were okay, so why does it shake and feel as though they are coming off? the sliding door on the driver side does not open, and the radio lighting works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I was told not to use the radio because it causes the battery to run down. . . There are just too many problems with this fairly new vehicle. I am concerned about having an accident when the car suddenly shuts off, or the dashboard suddenly stops working in a rain storm or at night when I cannot see, or worst, being involved in an accident and trapped because the only way out is the passenger door on the driver's side that doesn't work. . . Or the wheels coming off while driving at 70 mph. A recall of this vehicle is definitely needed!.

13 Wheel problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 09/14/2011

I have a 2008 chevy Uplander which has developed a severe banging of the rear axle through the rear tailing arm bushing the manufacturer is well aware of the failure of the rear trailing arm bushings in this vehicle and with all models with this type of rear axle. The vehicle sounds as if someone is pounding on the bottom of the frame whenever I hit any size bump at any speed. I know that the manufacturer is aware of this specific problem because chevy has issued a revision to their mechanics repair manual with an addendum numbered pit3323e. Which states that:" if no problems are found with the rear suspension components after thorough diagnosis then replace the rear trailing arm bushings" this addendum goes on to state that "a visual inspection of the rear trailing arm bushings may show no fault" I believe that I should have this defect repaired for free or at a discounted pro rated charge. But, no I am dropping the car off tommorrow to have this repaired at the cost of $ 380. 00. I feel that a t. S. B. Should be issued so that owners of these cars should have their repairs done at a fair prorated charge. Unfortunately its too late for me because the noise and jarring of the body upon hitting a small pebble in the road has become unbearable and I have to bite the bullet,if only for my own sanity. Oh, p. S. I have replaced two sets of shocks in the rear since the defect was impossible to detect by any means, whether it be a visual inspection or by jacking up the rear and physically manipulating and trying to obsrve the operation and action of the axle to duplicate the noise. No such luck!!!!!!!!.
