The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. The contact stated that both washer pumps have a hole in them and failed to operate normally. The windshield washer fluid began leaking on the ground. A local mechanic replaced both of the washer pumps. The warranty expired; therefore, the dealer or manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 48,000. Updated 2/22/10

The contact states the windshield wipers on the vehicle were hidden under the hood. When the temperature dropped to freezing t the windshield wipers froze. Had to open the hood and chip away the ice to get the windshield wipers out from under the hood. The dealer and the manufacturer have been contacted. The contact felt this was a design flaw from the manufacturer.
