The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Venture. The contact stated the fuel gauge moved up and down and failed to display the accurate amount of fuel. The contact stated when she added gasoline to the fuel tank the fuel gauge would display empty. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told it was possible that the float used in the fuel tank to read gasoline levels had failed. The failure and current miles were 85,000. The fuel gauge indicator did not display the correct amount of fuel in the tank. The vehicle has stalled without warning because there was no fuel in the tank. The dealer determined that the fuel sensor needed to be replaced.
