Warning Light On problems of the 2014 Chevrolet Volt

Three problems related to warning light on have been reported for the 2014 Chevrolet Volt. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2020

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Volt. The contact stated after she had unknown manufacturer recall completed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer stevens creek Chevrolet (3640 stevens creek blvd, san jose, CA 95117, (408) 490-0013) where it was diagnosed with needing the passenger's side occupant detection module to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.

2 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2019

The airbag warning light comes on fairly constantly. The dealership says the passenger seat sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced. It is an expensive repair at over $1,000.

3 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2017

My passenger occupancy sensor is malfunctioning resulted in an airbag warning light appearing. I understand this is a common problem with this model of chevy Volt. The replacement part is prohibitively expensive ($800+). Is there a recall in the works? thank you. Matt b.
