5 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 09/03/2021

The vehicle’s service airbag warning light is illuminated. The dealership diagnostic indicates that the passenger seat sensor needs to be replaced. Based on my research, this was also an issue with the Volt’s 1st gen models.

6 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/07/2020

My 2017 chevy Volt gives me 'service airbag' warning all the time. And the dealer says it is not covered under warranty, but the car has never met with any accidents or spills. So there is no reason for customer damage. I see that the same issue was been raised by many under pe19013. So I would want gm to take care of their manufacturing defect rather than saying it is not covered under w.

7 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2019

The sensing diagnostic module failed at ~38k miles causing the airbags to stop working. This happened when the vehicle was parked.

8 Air Bag problem

The battery energy control module failed at ~34k miles. This happened when the vehicle was parked and prevented the car from using the batteries for driving. The failure made the car unusable.

9 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/07/2018

When pulling into my garage, the car suddenly accelerated unexpectedly and collided with the front wall of the garage (photo 08); when I shifted to reverse, the car careened out of the garage, across the driveway, and collided with my neighbor's home (photo 09), leaving skid marks (photos 06 & 07) on the garage floor. The car was in normal electric mode at the time. I purchased the car as a certified used car on may 3rd from dave gill Chevrolet in columbus, OH. There were 12,490 miles on the car at purchase and a little less than 14,000 miles as the time of the accident. I am uploading nine (9) photos.
