1 Suspension problem of the 2017 Chevrolet Volt

Failure Date: 07/16/2024

I took my car to platinum Chevrolet in santa rosa, CA. They did a checkup and claimed that both of the spindle axle washers were cracked and should be replaced ASAP. They told me that it could be very dangerous if I continued to drive the car without repair. They told me that this flaw was quite common on chevy Volts. I researched on the internet and this flaw is reported quite often and is said to be dangerous. There is no recall for this flaw. If this flaw is very dangerous, why is there no recall?.

2 Suspension problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt

Failure Date: 05/01/2021

1. An error appears "shift to park" when parking. The car does not recognize that it is shifted to park thus it continues to run even when positioned on park. A running vehicle that cannot be turned off and can run on gas is a considerable hazard. This is an extremely common issue with the 2016 Volt.

3 Suspension problem of the 2013 Chevrolet Volt

Failure Date: 09/05/2016

On sept. 5th 2018 I hit the center island while turning on the city street at about 15mph. The impact was so slight that the air bags didn't even deploy. I was able to get it to the dealers on it's own power. My insurance company sent their appraiser ,jeremy , to inspect the damage. I had to get some items out of my car before that. The mechanic had the car on the rack so he could show me. The only damage I readily noticed was the radiators were crushed, a 2 1/2" square frame cross member had a 1 1/2" dent where it had impacted the island , and some panels- noticeably the front underside and driver side front wheel well were damaged. Later jeremy called me and told me the car was a total loss. He said the entire frame was bent out of shape. I couldn't believe it. In his report he itemized the parts but about the propulsion system he wrote, conditions exist that the electrical motors could start up the gas engine and flood the passenger compartment with CO. Well if that's the case, why don't they simply replace the components that would lead to that condition or if it was inherent in the car, why doesn't the dot declare the car a road hazzard and recall all vehicles? ln consumer reports they declared the Volt scored 5 out of a possible 5 rating on collision survival. What? the car running at 15 mph getting totalled by hitting a bump is a 5? I think mr. Jeremy is padding all his estimates and should have an independent appraiser review the car. Either he is lying or the car is actually a lemon. I would like your advice on what legal course I should take.

4 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt

Failure Date: 06/01/2015

I have had a serious clunk in the front end since purchasing June 1, 2015. This happens when hitting bumps and road irregularities and only on the left side. It took until September 16th to get it into the shop and it's been there 49 days now. Chevrolet is saying this is 'normal noise' and my contention is it's a problem or a defect or worse - a safety issue. I find it funny (not really) that they've been telling me all along that the cruze uses same components. Now the cruze for 14 and 15, and the 14 Volt is recalled. For a tie rod problem and replacement of steering gear. Not a nut or bolt has been touched by the people looking at my car, why are they so concerned unless there is something they don't know, that they aren't telling me. 49 days without my car now, 'everything is fine' is what I keep being told, so who is concerned with the safety of my family? certainly not Chevrolet. There's a problem, and someone, Chevrolet, needs to make it right!!.

5 Suspension problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Volt

Failure Date: 04/06/2011

The rear end of this car feels as if it is slipping out when you enter a curve at 60 to 65 mph. Gm calls it sensitive steering but I call it scary and unsafe.
