general problems of the 2013 Chrysler 200

It died while driving on a highway multiple times. No check engine light no warning and no control of the vehicle. Repairs sometimes right away and sometimes after an hour or more.

My power windows won't go up at times. When my driver side window rolls up then the passenger side window won't roll up and vice versa. When my passenger side window works fine the driver side window won't roll up. The electrical problem has caused my cigarette lighters and charger ports in my car to stop working! it happens whether sitting still or moving. The window wash that window cleaner comes out of keeps getting clogged.

My car quits on me while driving on the highway. Especially while slowing down. No warning lights or signs. This is very dangerous and scary! I took it to a Chrysler dealer they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it I've had this car since 2014. I always kept my car up. I don't understand what's wrong with it.

My Chrysler 200 has been turning off out of no where. No check engine light or anything turns on. My cars horn goes off randomly in the middle of driving and when put into park. I had 3 recalls and recently went to get them fixed thinking it would help , since one of the recalls was reprogramming the main module of the car. Still to this day it turns off on me. Just the other day I was in town making a turn and it stopped before I was able to complete the turn. It's also turned off on me many times when I'm driving in one direction. After it turns off I am able to re start it, and other times I have to wait several minutes before I'm able to get it turned back on.

At random my cars dies/stalls. I could be at a stop sign and the engine lose power shakes then dies. I could be driving in town cruising down main street at 25mph and my car engine will lose power shake then die while I'm still driving in motion. I could be driving on the free way with speeds at 70 mph and my car will just die, foot goes all the way in peddle when dead. You could feel no power in the car and it will roll out. Once the car is dead the power steering is out. It's very unsafe. I've been broken down for hours on the side of the road or minutes. I've been broken down in all 3 situations multiple times as stated above. The car shows no warning when it is going to die, no engine lights either, happens at random. Very unreliable and it tragic that I have to keep paying for a vehicle that does not perform like it should, I'm paying for a broken car. Dealership wants no part of it. I've got a recall letter, took it in and nothing was fix. They say it was the pcm but little did they know it was a brand new on. Already was updated. I feel nothing was dont to take care of the problem since the dealership had about 10 other people with recall letter. I'd really appreciate the help if any can be assisted.

2013 Chrysler 200 limited stalls out while driving. Started sept. 2019, and has happen (eight times) almost monthly or every 500 miles. No warning- no power steering; no power brakes. After stalling- car cranks and can take up to 1-2 hrs before engine will turn over again. I have taken vehicle to four separate mechanics; including Chrysler dealership and not one has been able to diagnose problem. Also, car does not throw any codes. I have replaced the battery; fuel pump and had pcm update and vehicle still stalling out while driving.

Wheels on car all peeled off and looks awful. The drivers inside handle peeling and wife cut hand on it . When you press the gas it loses power and stutters have had trouble with struts and brakes ever since we have owned car we purchased it off show room floor in grayson ky t.

Over the last two months I've been dealing with something called a no crank no start as the people say . Basically you're car could start one minute and then you could cut the car off and it won't do anything it won't start or crank .

I was driving in the middle of the street when the car just shut off completely. The car stall I had to call the tow truck and the police for help because I couldn't even put my emergency lights on. I waited for 2 hours and suddenly the car went back on. The car like if nothing ever happened. It was scary luck that I wasn't on the freeway with my children at that time.

While driving the car on the highway, the car dies and has to be jumped. The jump only makes it a short distance before shutting of again. All the lights come on ,on the dash and shut the car off.

Car stalled while driving on highway, accident prevented by pulling over the etc light flashed while stalling. After shutting car off, then back on the light went off and driving continued.

The rpm suddenly stops and it's takes few seconds to go down and speed suddenly increase.

There have been multiple times that I've been driving w and the steering wheel locks and the car shuts off. I have to come to a complete stop put it in park and restart it. I've been lucky I haven't been rear ended ,.

This Chrysler 200 213 needs to be recalled we have a problem with the lighting for headlight allo being there like a wall high beam you can't see very far hit a deer at 70 miles per hour on highway 41 fond du lac wisconsin marcus car 2013 from summit automotive took a back as we had a shifting problem between 25 and 30 miles per hour jerking and shifting we're having heating problems and now we have 80,000 miles on the car trying to get this car recall at 325 miles on the car have all the paperwork for the lemon law the guy come down to the car drives away it does and that's just how the car was made bull crap how many complaints do we have now feeding on the passenger side no heat driver side has heat 80000 miles on the car now starting problems with the car starts with a rattle you shut it off and it runs okay you have 1120 cars out there right now with this problem that I have I have all the paperwork all the receipts and I tried to recall this car like I said 325 miles on it did not prevail family needs to step up on the plate on this car not easy used to have 15 different problems with a car brand new a 2013 and now you only have 80,000 miles on the car full of crap timothy l greene fond du lac wisconsin you can contact me you can contact me at cowdogwoods@yahoo. I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 and within 1 year I had to replace the throttle body 5 times. Also to get only 16 mpg is not right on a 4 cynpynder car.

Tried to start my car and wouldn't start. I remote started my car with the key and it started right up. The car ran normal all the lights on dash lite up, radio was playing, air on everything seemed fine. Then I put the key in the ignition and it shut right off before I could even turn the key to the on position. The red security light flashes on the dash by the speedometer. Now the only way the car will start is if you remote start the car, unlock it and put key in ignition and turn to on position. But sometimes it still doesn't start that way either may have to try it a couple times. I need to figure out what is wrong with my car ASAP!!! I bought the car only 6 months ago from a used car dealership!!! please help!!!.

Just purchased my 2013 Chrysler 200 on 01/20/2018 from a used car dealer pre owned with 76590 miles on it today is 3/13/2018 and I was driving down the road on a busy road and first my check engine light came on and then the car accelerated on its on and then the car warning lights came on blinking red and the other light steady yellow and the car stalled in traffic luckily I was able to pull over out of the road and not hit by another car this is a very serious issue and I urge you to please look at this matter this is not good someone could have been hurt not being able to control my car it is not fixed yet and I spent a lot of money to purchase this car so please adress as quickly as you can to this matter thanks.

12/22/2017 my front end started bouncing and shaking, on the freeway it got really bad I was scared and my grandsons got very upset and thought we we going to crash. I thought the engine would fall out the bottom, or my left front tire was going to fall off, also the brake lite comes on sometimes every 15 mins. , now today spent all day trying to talk to any Chrysler service person to call me back ! no one did! my car died last night no crank no start im stuck in sacramento at my daughters, I was to work 3:30 to midnight to night 01/15/2018 , really hope I don't lose my job ! went on youtube everyone had the same problem and cant fix. . .

Bought care used from the dealer 9 months ago and at approx. 52,000 miles the check engine light and traction control light came on while driving. The car decelerated to 30mph and lost all throttle control. Luckily I could pull over and get out of traffic and when I stopped the engine shuttered violently then cut off. This could have been fatal if it happened on the interstate. Had to restart the car over a dozen times to get it home. Finally got it to the shop and they have replace the throttle body and computer. Still at the shop and the issue is still not resolved. The bill is almost $600 and I don't have a working car . After doing research I see this is the same issue that happens to this car. Chrysler really needs to recall all of these cars and refund all money so we can buy a car that runs and will not potentially kill someone.

Wipers won't shit off electrical failure.

Something electrical is draining my battery. When I drive, the check engine light comes on, the abs, traction, and brake light comes on while driving. When I'm idle nothing happens. When I'm on the highway it jerks and stalls a bit. I have to accelerate a lot to keep it going. I've had the battery replace 2 times in the past 3 months - brand new. It keep draining my battery. The alternator was fine. I took it to the dealership they told me they can't read it if the lights are not on. But it only comes on when I'm driving. The lights in the car, headlights, and radio all go out while I'm driving then back on. The headlights flicker. I'm about to need to have the battery replaced now a third time with no help from the dealership. My engine light is still on and and it drives rough and I smell gas when I'm driving. I just bought this car in August and I've had more issues with it than any other vehicle I've ever owned. I've only received 1 recall for the vehicle, I believe it should be thoroughly checked because it's too many issues for a car that's only 4 years old.

As I was doing 70 mph on the hwy my car started slowing down to 30 mph and would not pick up speed, the symbols that came on the car were for the electronic throttle control and the electronic stability control. I pulled over and turned the car off and after a minute or so, I restarted the car and continued on, after being able to drive only a few feet, it started again. Once I made it home, I let the car sit overnight and when I drove into work this morning after 14 minutes on the hwy, it started again.

I have a 2013 Chrysler 200, it has roughly 70,000 miles, as I was accelerating onto the highway the vehicle would not go over 40-50 mph. I was almost rear-ended because everyone was trying to get onto the highway. I couldn't pull over because of it being over a bridge. When I went to pull over the car stalled and would not start until the 3rd or 4th try. The car is practically brand new there is no way this should be having this problem. As I am reading many of the other complaints this seems to be pretty common in this vehicle & year.

When driving vehicle on highway are crowded high traffic roads the vehicle would suddenly makes a sudden jerk the check engine light comes on traction control lights comes on it losses power I could be going 50 mph and the vehicle drops to 10 mph and won't go faster than 30 mph I would try to push it up to 50 but it still feel like it's going 30 mph, the vehicle is now currently in the shop the can't seem to figured out what's wrong with it I'm still making payments on the vehicle they won't give me a rental without diagnostic so I am out of a vehicle to get me to work and take my kids to school as a single mom please help me I call the place I brought the vehicle from but they won't help it's a nightmare so inconvenience. . . .

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. While accelerating, the vehicle jerked to the right without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but no diagnostic testing was performed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000. Updated 7/1/cn.

I bought this car September 14 2013. With in a week it was in the shop due to alignment issues and other cosmetic issues, fixed cosmetic issues and did an alignment on the car with in 4 days the alignment went out again was back in the shop again and underwent another alignment had the car back for about 4 days again alignment was off again and during a drive to michigan the floor got hot. The next day the floor got hot again and the car shut off. I had to take it to the shop again. After another 5 days the alignment was out again. They but it on the road force and the alignment was fixed. Now my car shakes, the engineer at Chrysler said its the tires, replaced tired and it still shakes. This car is unsafe for my family and is a nightmare on trying to get them to get me a new car. Thank you for listening.
