general problems of the 2013 Chrysler 200 - part 2

Engine. Won't run at all. Service place said engine was bad and had to be replaced.

Occupant restraint controller. How can I get a loaner car until the parts come in? in addition, I hear a loud tapping noise in coming from the dashboard area does this have anything to do with wgy this is being recalled. I received a recall letter.

Takata recall anyways the dashboard is making a loud knocking noise on the passenger side!.

Only the driver's side heat works, passenger side blows cold. Has been serviced at pace in huntington in they canged the part and was told per Chrysler the only way to correct the problem is to completely change the whole heat system.

The cars automatic lock system waits until the car is in motion before locking. If you have your arm up on the window it pinches your arm and leaves a painful mark.

On the evening of may 3rd, 2016 I returned to my vehicle after work to find that the driver head restraint had been deployed for unknown reasons. Earlier that day I went to the bank all was well the head restraint was completely intact. At approximately 5:05pm I returned to my vehicle to head home and noticed that I could not rest my head as I do on a daily basis on my drive home. My concerns are that if I were driving in traffic or on the freeway and it unexpectedly deployed potentially causing an accident or worse due to a chain reaction. I immediately contacted the Chrysler recall center. Filed a complaint, issued a case number and was told that someone would be contacting me to investigate with a possible resolution. I have not been contacted as of 5/9/2016. I also followed up on the case Friday may 6th . The case number had not been assigned. I'm looking for a resolution as to why this happened unexpectedly and what if anything would be my options. If this has happened to other, this could potentially become a safety hazard.

Continues to have suspension problem; noise and failure of control arms, leaking of water from heating/cooling system, check engine light, and rough transmission shift change. Horrible car, don't bother with same, to many mechanic visits. . .

2013 Chrysler 200. Consumer requests vehicle recall information.

Tl- the contact owns 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the when attempting to turn on the heat in the vehicle once the vehicle's fan is started an abnormal nose from under the dashboard of the passenger's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000. Gl.

This didnt happen to me but I do own the car now that it happened to. Passenger headrest airbag deployed, dealer didnt want to buy a new one to replace it so there looking for a junk yard one. My question is that I was told this was a leased vehicle in oklahoma why wasnt this fixed there?! is it a safety hazard! its destracting as im looking or trying to see out the rt side of my car to change lanes. Plus its just ugly all split open like that. Plus I only got one keyfob for being a lease it sure wasnt cared for like I thought. Could this vehicle have been in an accident due to the headrest exploding? I asked but they said no. How can I find out? . Any info you can give I would appreciate it. Turn on heater get clicking noise for about 30 seconds, then stops. You would think that after all this time Chrysler, would be Smart enough to fix the problem. This car has 36200 miles and is a 2013. No car should start having these issues at this stage. I have never owned a Chrysler, before nand probably never will again. I would like to know how many others have this problem.

I was driving down the highway leaving work, I got up to roughly 55mph when my car just shut off while driving down the road. I was told by the dealership that the alternator failed without warning. They can not give me an explanation as to why a vehicle that is less than 2 years old and less than 30k miles suddenly stopped without warning. There is currently a recall issued by Chrysler for this exact issue but my vehicle is not one of the ones covered under the recall according to Chrysler. No check engine or check battery lights prior to the incident. At the time of incident nearly every light on my dash lit up and the vehicle just shut off, the speedometer went from 55 to 0 and I was luckily able to coast off of the highway without incident since I had just gotten on and was getting up to speed I had not left the right lane yet. Had I been anywhere else on the highway this incident could have easily led to serious injury or death. I have spoken with the dealership and they claimed there is nothing they can do for me, I have also spoken with a lemon law attorney and was informed that since it did not end in serious injury or death that it must happen again before they can help me. I do not feel safe putting my wife or infant child in to a vehicle that just shut off at a speed of 55mph.

While driving the vehicle on several occasions the hazard lights would turn on without the button being pressed. After that 1st incident it's happened more often than not and other drivers are thinking that we need to pull over when we don't. I'm not sure what the cause of this is, but it's a new vehicle and if this continues it's going to cause me possibly getting a ticket with law enforcement. Which is something I'm going to pursue Chrysler paying because this is a major problem for me.

After driving for a short amount of time ( 20-30 minutes) - when making turns or turning the steering wheel or going over speed bumps I start hearing a knocking / clunking noise coming from the left side of the car. The sound makes me very uneasy and it make you feel like the front end of the car is about to come apart. Not sure what is causing this problem, but it is a problem, and you should not be hearing this sound what so ever in any car! there needs to be a recall because after looking up this issue online, it didn't take long to find that their are a lot of other Chrysler owners experiencing the same problem!.

The car here's when starting to drive especially when pulling out of a parking spot. Also the hazard lights come on by themselves.

Not long after purchasing my 2013 Chrysler 200 I noticed that every few days I had to get air in my tire. When I had my very first service I mentioned to the service dept. They looked at the tires and put air in them. Then it was the same every few days put air in tire. Well on next service it was the same old thing nothing wrong put air in tires this just keeps going on. Well when it was time to rotate tires then the problem got a little worse. Had to go from every few days to every other days at next service got the same statement nothing wrong. Now its got to the point I have to put air everyday and not just one tire but all of them. I just now got to 30,000 miles on my car. Also they said and tried to talk me into getting nitrogen put in which cost money and if your on the road and your tire goes low you can't put air in a nitrogen tire. I don't know why the tires keep loosing air but this is darn ridiculous. Also like another person reported quite some time ago my brakes make a terrible noise when backing up.
