Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the vehicle hood flew open independently while driving at 60 mph, the contact coasted over to the side of the road and was able to resumed driving. The vehicle was taken to chastang Chrysler dealer, located on 1212 s velasco st, angleton, TX 77515, where the vehicle was rejected to be serviced, the dealer informed the contact that he was at fault due to him leaving the hood open. The vehicle was not repaired due to the diagnostic and repaired fees. The contact stated that the hood latch was replaced before at chastang Chrysler dealer however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was called and informed the contact that there will be a fee for the diagnostic and the replacement of the hood. The approximate failure mileage was 35,150. Aw.

On several occasions I have noticed the hood partially up after parking the car. This has happened 3 times in the past two weeks and I have not looked under the hood during that time. I suspect that the hood latch may be faulty.
While driving on the interstate the hood suddenly released without warning striking the windshield. The only damage to the car was the hood. Car was rented from enterprise.
Brand new 2014, Chrysler 200 hardtop convertible has surface rust on rear driver side quarter panel where it meets brake light, surface rust on edge of trunk deck, rusted bolts inside driver and passenger door hinges, convertible top leak at drivers left corner of interior. Bought brand new with 11 miles on it.
