Since the day I picked up the car from the dealership lot, I have had consistent issues with this vehicle simply operating safely and normally. In arizona, you're legally responsible for a vehicle the moment you sign — even before you drive it off the property — so I was essentially stuck with it. From that point forward, I have been at my dealership nearly every month due to various mechanical and electrical issues. The vehicle has a history of repeated electrical and mechanical failures that affect both safety and basic function. One of the most serious problems is that the car randomly shuts off while driving, including in traffic and at intersections. This happens without warning and creates a serious risk of being hit from behind or losing control of the vehicle. In addition, the car frequently fails to start. It will often require a jump-start just to turn on, but even then, service technicians have told me the battery is not the issue, and in some cases, it doesn’t respond to a jump at all. The problem remains undiagnosed, with technicians saying they cannot pinpoint the cause. The issue appears to be electrical or ignition-related, but no definitive fix has been found. There have also been ongoing problems with the transmission jerking, hesitation during acceleration, and various warning lights coming on, including the battery, check engine, and transmission indicators. These issues began shortly after purchase and have occurred consistently over time. The vehicle has been brought to the dealership numerous times, where they have attempted repairs, but the problems continue. It is not safe to drive and continues to present a major safety hazard due to unexpected shutdowns and unreliable starting. These issues have been acknowledged by the dealer but never resolved, and the vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request.

As I’m approaching a steeper hill I go from 25 to 20mph as I try to turn the corner of the hill I feel the speed of the vehicle picking up as I’m trying to slow down without slamming on the brakes the vehicle takes off hits the curb then a utility pole before coming to a complete stop.

On the night of 5/11 I came home from a business trip in a rental vehicle and pulled my personal vehicular out of my underground secured garage to take to a store approximately 1 mile away. After returning to my apartment I parked the vehicle in the outside parking lot just for that night as I parked the rental underground. About 15 minutes after parking my vehicle I heard 2 loud booming sounds I could hear from my apartment. About 20 minutes after the booming sounds three police officers came to my apartment door and told me my vehicle was on fire. They took me down to the parking lot and told me there was an explosion that led to the fire. They told me there was a witness who saw sparks flying which led the police detective and fire department to think it was an electrical issue that led to the explosion. There is a police report on file and I have filed a claim with my insurance. The engine compartment was completely engulfed in flames and the heat/fire damaged the two vehicles on either side of my vehicle.

We were driving down the road and there were no cars or anything around to cause what happened. We heard a loud bang or explosion like a gun going off and it hurt my ears and made them ring. It like stunned us almost like when you wreck a car feeling. I checked myself for blood and asked the others in my car were they ok. We pulled over to check and my sunroof had exploded. What's left up there was push outward like the car had pressure in it and that's how it released it. I need the company to fix it but they won't . We called the headquarters as soon as we got to the house and took the car to the dealer as the requested the very next day and they will not fix it and its their fault for using whatever glass they used or maybe the body of the car twist to much. Its their build and o their fault. I didn't make this car or do anything to it.

Transmission started acting up, jerking, stuck in 4th gear and also in 7th gear while driving 55 miles an hour. Numerous times, also caused me to wreck hit a trash can because it was either that it be ran over by a semi, I took the lesser of the 2 evils, my car has never had a leak of any sorts, keep it in a garage when not driving, had it towed because it wouldn't go into drive or reverse to fuqua motors dunkirk indiana because of the transmission issues, when I got it back it seemed ok for about 7 days, then I noticed it jerking again, took it back to fuqua they worked on it again, lasted about a month noticed it jerking and getting stuck in 4th and 7th gear again causing me to almost wreck on a highway, took it back they supposedly fixed it, then after having it home for a bit I had a liquid all over my garage floor found out it was transmission fluid so I took it back again, they claimed it was fluid overage from transmission fluid so they hosed it down said they did the work for free supposedly all this work fell under power train warranty yet they wouldn't cover the cost of my rentals and I own a business that requires travel, so I spent over a thousand on rentals. Now transmission is jerking again, fluid all over my garage floor again, almost wrecked on my way home driving it, now it's been parked in my garage undrivable so I have once again rented a vehicle, needless to say the power train warranty hasn't been honored, has caused me to wreck and I have a cracked windshield and big dent on front of car, this is my business car my livelihood, my only means to get my daughter to the children's hospital in indianapolis, I've always owned jeeps, dodges and this was my first Chrysler, I'm so disappointed that my power train warranty was never honored nor were my rentals paid during which times the dealership had my car, car is doing it again with leaks of fluid.

I notified the Dodge recall center a month ago about an issue with electrical problems and engine stalls as well as problem codes. This affected driving and prevented registration per smog check. I was making a alright turn on el dorado and cleveland street last Thursday, 3/21/2019 and the car locked up or cut off and slid into a guard rail and curb damaging the driver side of the body and was unforgivable. It is being investigated now but the fca investigator informed me that he would not be able to inspect the vehicle until I signed and returned the attached document. Upon calling a month ago I performed a VIN search and realized that there were a few electrical recall incidents performed on my vehicle previously which were never disclosed with me. As a matter of fact the dealer edited the documents to show a clean history when printing my paperwork when I purchased the vehicle. I am totally confused as to what my rights are and how do I go about getting my vehicle repaired or compensated. Please let me know if you need any further documentation.

I noticed the passenger side floor was getting wet, I pulled up the carpet and noticed pooled water. I took vehicle to dealer. They ran water over vehicle and water continued to pool on passenger side floor. Dealer thought it might be drainage issues or heater core. Neither was correct. I was told there is an issue with seams and welds coming apart but dealer not responsible since vehicle at 36992 miles. There is a TSB and star case open on issue. Star case number is s1623000004. Release date for this case is 11/14/2017. The TSB is for Chrysler 200's for '15-'16 model year sold in nafta and apac markets built on or before July 5, 2016. The TSB was dated September 27, 2016. The number is 23-045-16.

2015 Chrysler 200 have had nothing but trouble with the car since purchase. Transmission runs very rough, car jerks, shifts gears unexpectedly, engine shuts off while driving. 9/29/17 engine shut off while driving and car hit a curb. Have taken to the dealership over and over and they say nothing is wrong with the car and have not noted in my file that I have complained about transmission problems. Was contacted by Chrysler engineers that were doing a study on the transmission problems and wanted me to test drive a newer model to compare. They admitted Chrysler knew about problems with this model but have been unable to get Chrysler to admit or buy back the vehicle.

My vehicle was involved in a hit a run, and the part I need has been on backorder with Chrysler for several months. I can still drive the vehicle, but it has been deemed unsafe for road use. I cannot fix the car until this part is available, and I can't get a car through insurance for more than 30 day. Could you guys push Chrysler to make this part at a faster rate, there are over 600 backorders on this part with many angry customer eagerly waiting for it. The new part number is 68376692aa.

My chry 200, 2015 was involved in a front end collision and the air bags did not deploy. When my car collided with the side of a school bus the whole front and driver side of the Chrysler was smashed in and tore off. The vehicle was in motion on impact, on a city street while turning left.

My husbands Chrysler 200 2015 had huge electrical problems which would cause the vehicle to completely shut off while being driven. The car's electrical would not work, the keyfob wouldn't work, the trunk wouldn't open and you could not shift gears. The dealership could not figure out the issue but "fixed" it several times. The car malfunctioned again and my husband was involved in a car accident as a result, which totaled the car completely, with no airbag deployment. Chrysler has not fixed the issue, instead they have closed several cases/claims we have opened with them, never addressing the issue of the car turning off without notice, only the airbag concern. Again, the car was being driven when it completely shut off and loses all electrical and engine power, which resulted in the accident which totaled the car.

I own a 2015 Chrysler 200 . I was driving it the first month when I bought it( which is July 2016) and unexpectedly the car started to slow down from 55 to 35mph . I was really surprised because I wasn't even hitting the brake. I went to the dealer and check, he told me that everything is ok. But last month I was driving home , I saw something on the road at the last minute . I slowed down but the car didn't respong ,I hit that thing. I didn't even know what it was. Maybe an animal or something that was laying down on the road. The front of my car was broken. One of my headlight is broken. The dealer told me that maybe something is wrong with the car. And my car need actually about $2000 to be repaired. My car is brand new and still have warranty on it. I am tried to use the insurance to repair it but nobody is really helping me with that ,until yesterday when I got that letter on the mail (safety recall about my car ).

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving 10 mph, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The front impact bar disengaged from the subframe. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front impact bar needed to be re-welded to the subframe. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.

Ive had trouble with this vehicle since I took possession 6/30/2014! issues has been: brakes(2x), uconnect (numerous times taken in for service and still has the same problem), aux- (numerous times taken in for service and still has the same problem, driver chair lever, vehicle shut down with flashing dash and gear lights while driving causing near death accidents (numerous times), radio shut down, vehicle came to a complete shut down and I had to have it towed, vehicle wouldn't start and I had it towed, vehicle accelerates on its own after the brake is released (take in numerous times and still had this problem, this ongoing issue has caused me to get into an accident and now Chrysler has denied my claim for them to fix my vehicle due to there negligent. I take the vehicle in for service for these ongoing issues and I get the vehicle back stating that there is nothing wrong but I have the same problems overtime!! I have video and pictures.

Was involved in a 3 -car accident on 04/27/2016 per the way he vehicle was hit and the damages, the airbags should have deployed, no airbags deployed and car would not turn off. . . Meaning the push to start would not turn off engine. . . The vehicle was in motion when accident occurred and there is no reason exactly why the airbags didn't deploy being that the axle is damaged as well.

My Chrysler 200 had been recalled mid 2015 for a glitch in their computer system that required all Chrysler, Dodge, ram, and fiat vehicles with the 8. 4 screen to have a chip sent out and installed by self to update and instill security to those cars. In January of 2016 I was involved in a collision in my Chrysler 200. My entire front end was knocked off as I was awaiting a turn in a center lane on a city street. My engine dropped and all fluids were expelled from this vehicle, my air bags did not deploy. When I called concerned about it I was told that my vehicle was tested with a hand device in a junk yard and that I had not been hit hard enough or in the right place for them to deploy. I could not believe due to the force and damage done but was still told by a Chrysler representative that there was no malfunction with the air bags. The car was a total loss but was resold to a dealership in cincinnati, OH and put up for sale. I am still receiving notifications about the car due to uconnect and is very concerned about this same vehicle being sold and put on the road.

1. Delayed/harsh shift from 2nd to 3rd gear. Especially harsh when the vehicle was cold. 2. Vehicle lunges forward when downshifting rapidly. For example, if I was driving 55mph and had to stop quickly, as the transmission downshifted the entire vehicle would thrust/jump around 3rd-4th gears. It almost feels like the car is going to accelerate instead of stopping. 3. In a situation where the vehicle is slowed, but not stopped, and then accelerated (such as exiting a parking lot onto a major road), once the accelerator is applied, the engine rpms shoot up, but the transmission delays dramatically before upshifting, causing the vehicle to jerk. 4. At speeds between 24-26mph, the transmission jumps around wildly between gears causing the vehicle to jerk. After multiple service visits and software updates, the transmission and torque converter were replaced. The vehicle has been driven for over 3 weeks since this repair, and issues 2, 3 & 4 still exist. Other issues: 1. Intermittent extended crank time¿2-3 times longer than a typical crank before starting. A. Engine code showed the dealership there had been extended crank times. Dealership attempted repairs, citing an oil pressure problem, but issue continued. B. On a separate service visit, we were told this was due to a recall and they were awaiting parts. C. Recall work was performed around 12/1/15, but the issue still exists. The issue has actually gotten substantially worse since the weather has gotten cold. 5. ¿park¿ not engaging properly. When putting the vehicle into ¿park¿, there was a loud clunking sound. When the brake was released, the car would roll forward. A. This issue seems to have been resolved by repairs around 12/1/15.

I read the manual from first page to last when I purchased the vehicle 1) no mention of sliding arm rest and the fact that it doesn't lock in position. Very stiff to move from driver position, so I wasn't aware 2) when arm rest is slid forward it encroaches over the rear cup holder. 3) when cup holder/console storage cover is slid back halfway and locked in position, the armrest when slid forward encroaches over both cup holders. Appears very hazardous, so unbeknownst of this feature and while I was accelerating from 0 mph at traffic light that had just changed to green, the passenger in the back seat had pushed on the arm rest for an unknown reason (probably thinking it was stationary). As the arm rest shot forward, it squashed and propelled my large coffee cup through the cockpit area. Luckily it was not hot, but the problem was that it was a complete distraction not knowing this could happen. When I looked to see what the heck was happening, the vehicle in front of me had already been braking to stop. For that split second I wasn't paying attention to my driving from the distraction, I crashed into the rear of the vehicle in front of me. A design flaw? maybe add a locking mechanism. This is very hazardous without knowing the sliding armrest feature that could sever a drink cup in half while driving. I'm calling Chrysler customer service (800) 247-9753 and Chrysler group recall assistance (800) 853-1403 I know I'm responsible for the control of my vehicle, but something needs to be done about this hazard and I may seek compensation for my deductible. Yeah, good luck with that, right?.

As I pulled out onto the highway, my car began to stall, it would not pull forward. It made a noise like the transmission is going out. So, I came to a complete stop and started on my route again. This has happened several times. The last time was 2/21/2015 at just over 5100 miles. My car would not change gears, so I had to come to a complete stop and turn the car off and restart the car in order for the gears to change. I have also noticed that the floor board on the drive side passenger floor is wet. I have no idea where the water is coming from.
