1 Seat Belt problem of the 2013 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 11/28/2023

Multiple issues, passenger window is a very common issue, looked on youtube and found many videos for it was able to jump with direct power to the pigtail using wires and a battery and was able to roll it up but no explanation for why it ends up having this issue, heater core also a consistent issue, it is obvious with passenger side goes cold and 95% of the fix is a new heater core. Headrests popping, had the safety recall done 02chz28 (recall s61) and never was mentioned or brought up by local dealer, both seatbelts are not functioning properly, passenger side is the worst, locks up and both are running along the plastic causing it to become deformed and wearing on the edges of the belts. Vehicle has obvious replacements on the front but no accident history. Hood is a different VIN number and grill is not original from factory. I found the original photo of the car's first sale post. Odd malfunction is washer fluid can run out with no indicator being triggered for low fluid.

"takata recall". My airbag light sensor on the dash of my vehicle lit up along with the seatbelt light while I was driving by myself with the seatbelt on correctly and nothing sitting in any of the passenger seats. The dash displays a message of "service airbag system". When coming to a stop, the dash displays"driver seatbelt unbuckled" while my seatbelt is buckled. I have checked the vehicle for recalls and none are currently listed with the NHTSA or the dealership under my particular VIN. I have had the vehicle diagnosed at a Chrysler dealership/service center and was notified that the orc ("occupant restraint controller") was non responsive. They (Chrysler service center employee) informed me that I was responsible for the care and maintenance of the safety device that is defective in my vehicle. 23 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 08/10/2018

Takata recall, have contacted the dealership many times since the recall back in 2016 and keep getting told that the parts are not available and then told that they were available when they are not, I have tried many times to get this fixed but the dealership is refusing to fix it just because I keep getting told that they would order the part and nothing gets done. I am starting to get aggravated and concerned for the safety of me and my family while driving . I am regretting that I purchased a Chrysler snd don't want to purchase another one again. I use to think highly of Chrysler and their products but dealing with this and causing a major headache has changed mind to not buy again. Just because of the way that I have been treated, my mom has the same recall on her Ford and Ford is paying for her to have a rental while they wait for the parts to be available for hers to be fixed. That to me tells how much they care about the safety for their customers. I have been driving around for 2 years with this recall just for nothing to be done. If I could take the car back and be able to get me different vehicle like a Ford, chevy I would. This has been a nightmare.

24 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 07/05/2018

Recall s61. I purchased my car at carmax in 2017. Took it in last week for radio. They sent it to newark Chrysler Jeep on cleveland Ave in DE. While it was there I had ask to have recalls fix. According to my paper work it was completed on July 5th. Well today is July 11th and it still says I have the same recall on my car. I contact carman they went and pick up my car and took it to brandywine Chrysler where it still is. I have paperwork from newark saying they fix the recall. I'm very mad that it says its done but really hasn't. This is a recall something very serious as to that with seatbelt. No dealership should ever do this. Carmax has also stated to me they will be taking action with newark also regarding this. They had also stated they replaced my radio which they didn't.

25 Seat Belt problem of the 2013 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 06/16/2018

On 6/16/2018, I was involved in a highway accident when traveling south and a deer ran out across from the north side of the highway crashing right into the front drivers side of my vehicle then flew up in the and crashed down right threw my windshield while I was traveling at a rate of speed of 50 mph. I was severely injured since my seatbelts failed to restrain me and none of my airbags deployed at the time of the accident. However, months after vehicle was repaired following deer collision the airbag spontaneously deployed and I suffered secondary injury. I need some answers on why I wanted notified about the recall before now. I just received the letter regarding recall on the vehicle's airbags and seatbelts two years later! this is unacceptable. I have plenty of photos however need to upload, please contact me. Thank you.

26 Seat Belt problem of the 2017 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 05/10/2018

Parked vehicle. While vehicle engine still running and placed in park, I removed my driver side seat belt. Within 10 seconds of doing so, the panel flashed that the awd was disabled, the traction control light came on, and the warning indicator stated to "have parking brake serviced" I had not engaged the electronic parking brake manually, but attempted to reverse the vehicle, only to find the parking brake had engaged on it's own. I work in automotive warranty, so I logged into my work account and found that this is a similar problem with a short in the electronic parking brake sytem and is related to the seat belt. I placed vehicle in park, cut the power to the engine, waited for a few minutes, replaced my seat belt and restarted the vehicle. All the same codes flashed on the panel for a about 20 seconds, and then cleared. Upon further investigation, this is a common issue on this vehicle and has an epa issued for the electrical system short for the parking break and abs system. Not sure why there isn't an official recall for this issue as if it were to occur while driving, injury would most likely occur when parking brake system self engages.
