The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags); however, the parts for the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving approximately 25 mph and attempting to make a left turn, the vehicle would not turn. The vehicle began to accelerate without warning. The contact depressed the brake pedal; however, the brake pedal was locked. The accelerator pedal floored automatically without any contact. The contact attempted to apply the emergency brake; however, it failed. The contact turned the vehicle off and continued to steer until it came to a slow stop. The contact restarted the vehicle, placed the gear in park with the emergency brake applied, and the vehicle idled at high levels. The contact made another attempt; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the oxygen sensor warning light was illuminated and the air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact informed the dealer; however, the vehicle had not been diagnosed.
