While driving at night my vehicle head lights turn off and on, then some time will not come back on. I have to turn the light switch on and off to get my lights back on.
Purchased this car in 2012 with a 3 month warranty. 1 month later lights started flickering occasionally. Then while driving 60 mph on local highway lights went out totally. Pulled off road and waited until they came back on. Took back to where I purchased it, they took it to Chrysler dealer and I was told it was "reprogrammed". No problems until last night when lights started flickering again. Just a matter of time before they go out totally again at night driving down some dark country road. This is a dangerous situation and hopefully no one will get killed before I can get this car back to a dealership, and this time I will have to pay for it myself. Apparently Chrysler has no interest in providing a permanent fix for this problem.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the interior and exterior lights experienced flickering, the vehicle turning signal ceased to function, the windows did not operate, the vehicle would not start, and the seat belt lap belt failed to latch. In addition, the abs warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuse box needed a new fuse panel cover and the seat belt latch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
Two days after I purchased my 2005 Chrysler 300 touring, all of the lights on the car began to flash off and on intermittently. Happens on interior and exterior lights. This is especially bothersome while driving at night, not only for the driver, but for the vehicles in front of me. I have had it back to the dealer for repair, but they cannot fix it. They are waiting until the manufacturer provides them with a fix. Meanwhile, I believe this to be a hazardous condition.
