Takata recall. Over 6 months ago, I received safety recall notice (s43/NHTSA 16v-352) regarding airbag inflator rupture issue. I contacted local dealer and was told repair parts had not been received, so repair could not be performed. It is now January 2017. The recall is still incomplete, the remedy is not yet available because the parts are not available. I am concerned for the safety of myself and my family. I would like the passenger airbag inflator to be replaced per the recall.

5 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

2005 Chrysler 300. Consumer writes in regards to driver airbag inflator recall repairs. The consumer has not been able to get the recall work performed, due to lack of parts. Recall # 15v313000.

6 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2015

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags) and they indicated that they replaced the drivers side air bag inflator. The contact also received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 14v770000 (air bags) and stated that the dealer was unclear about if the part was available and indicated that it was the same recall. The contact provided the notice to the dealer and they did not indicate when the part would become available to receive the repair. The contact was concerned that due to the dealer not addressing the front passenger side, the vehicle would need to be taken back again for another recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure.
