The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While making a left turn, the rear driver side door of the contact's vehicle was struck by another vehicle. The driver and passenger side air bags deployed. The vehicle was towed. A police report was filed. The contact received neck and back injuries, which required medical attention. The dealer repaired the electrical system. The vehicle was damaged on the rear driver side, the front windshield fractured, the seat belts failed, and the rear driver side tire blew out. The body damage was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v313000 and 16v352000 (air bags); however, the VIN tool confirmed that the part was not available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The VIN was invalid. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
