1 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/10/2024

When taking vehicle for test drive about a month ago, the check engine light was on and after driving it, I noticed when ac was on and when off, the car loses power. When I go to pull out it has no power and I almost got hit in the side every time I would pull out from a busy highway. They had check engine light looked at and they said computer told them it was air valve leak or something like that. I had appointment for them to further assist and they said they could not find anything wrong. I can hear where the valve might be leaking at. The brakes are not good. I had to put on the brakes today fast and brake pedal acted like they were gonna skid out from under my foot. Brakes are new so why is it acting like I have no brakes and there is barley any acceleration. Something is going on and I don't want to be in a car accident just because our warnings are being over looked.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2014

While driving slow, the brake petal was depressed and went all the way down with no braking effect. A complete loss of hydraulic resistance and stopping capacity. If this vehicle had been on an interstate highway at 70 mph with an emergency simi truck panic stopping in front of this vehicle, the driver would not survive. With this happening to this vehicle this may be a rare event, but if I did not report this , it would be neglect on my part.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/28/2014

While driving down the road the engine would just lose power and shut down completely, leaving me without brakes or the ability to steer. Sometimes the ignition switch would hang and not start the engine until about the fourth or fifth try. So, I took the car in for service and repairs to fix the problem. They said the problem was in the ignition. . . Something to do with the wcm module or win module or forbik and only the dealer could repair it. On April 1, 2014, jim cogdill Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram, 8544 kinston pike knoxville, TN 37919 did the work. Then, after I had spent a total of $576. 62 for parts and labor, I get a letter from Chrysler informing me of safety recall p57 / NHTSA 14v-567. November 19, 2014, I sent in all of the requested information and forms and receipts stating that I had paid for repairs and that I wanted a refund. On December 10, 2014, I received an email from Chrysler's customer assistance center case manager stating that they "will be able to look into my reimbursement request further when the parts are available". As of today, April 21, 2015, the "parts" are still not available and neither is my refund. My reference with Chrysler cac for this claim is case #26059112.

8 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/16/2013

Lost power when ignition switch moved from drive position. Ignition switch sticks. Can pop out of position if you are not careful to make sure it is in correct position before you move vehicle. Took me days to figure this out. Took it to Chrysler dealership several times in 2013. They were never able to fix this problem, then this recall came out. I am still driving with this problem. Dealerships never have the parts to fix either one of the recalls, and cant tell me when they will. . . Have the parts. Very frustrating. Need this vehicle for work, but I don't feel safe driving it. I deal with 2 dealerships in my area. They have not been very helpful.
