1. While driving at normal speeds my car seems to struggle shifting into gear. It also makes clunking sounds going up hill. Today I accelerated to get onto the highway and the vehicle made a loud noise for a few seconds and finally got up to speed. 2. My vehicle also has a factory rust proofing and the quarter panels are showing large spots of rust on the front and rear of the vehicle.
A clunking noise when going over bumps in road or backing out in motion city street highway or turning.
My 2014 Chrysler 300 has loud clunking, thudding noise when travelling over rough roads or going over a small bump. The noise sounds as though something is about to fall off. I have taken the vehicle into the dealership to be assessed and it was determined that I would have to replace the shocks, struts, tie rods and brushels to alleviate the problem. I was given a estimation of $3000. 00 dollars to correct the problem. It was during this time that it was discovered that muffler exhaust pipe had rusted and come apart thus calling the car to sound as loud as an 18 wheeler. I was informed by the mechanic that this was a common problem with this car and the Dodge charger . The repair cost on this was estimated to be 800. 00 - 1100. 00 dollars alone. Pleas investigate these complaints because Chrysler needs to be held accountable for these actions. During the course of my own investigation I have discovered that some of these problems go back as far back as the 2005 model Chrysler 300.
Loud clunking noise when applying brakes to come to a stop and when going over bumps in road/railroad tracks. It has been going on for months. I put todays date as the incident date because it happens daily.
The tie rod completely gave away on this car while I was just driving along the highway.
