The forward collision warning (fcw) system does not function as designed. It is supposed to give visual and audible warnings as well as apply the brakes (if so selected). The system on my car gives the visual and audible warnings, but does not apply the brakes. I have experienced this several times since I have owned the car. I took it to the Chrysler dealer on 12/11/2020 and again on 3/28/2022 for this issue and their response both times was "there are no stored codes in the module and it is unsafe to test the system. Therefore the system is working as designed. ".
