1 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2018

A couple months back the engine shut down going down the road, computer checked showing the heat sensor went bad ,had it replaced and also installed a new thermostat just in case. Yesterday 12/6 2018 took the car out and went to the outlets roughly 25 miles away car ran great . Stop for gas on the way back a mile from home, left the station went a 1/4 mile the car shut down again, started right back up went another 1/2 mile and it shut down again, started right back up and went 1/4 mile to the house. Had my son in law who is a mechanic do a computer check and nothing shows up. Car has 38777 miles on it and garage kept, little dangerous since u loose the steering and brakes when it shuts down, fortunately for me I had a place to pull over to get off the highway. Checking with the dealership tomorrow to see if others had this problem. Had a very similar problem with my chryler crossfire years back where the car would not accelerate had some close calls at stop signs had to replace the complete acceleration unite had less than 4000 miles on the car but the car was out of warranty cost me over $300 but the engine didn't shut down like this one. Was on a town street when it shut off.

2 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 11/02/2017

Oil light came on at slow speed and engine shut off by it self, on a city street. Why?.

3 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 10/14/2011

I read about this in the paper on 5-13-2013. After filling up , I started driving in 3 lanes of heavy traffic going about 55. The car suddenly stopped. The engine shut down. I was lucky I didn't get hit by one of the other cars. This happend several other times after that. I went to the dealer and they said they had never heard of such a thing. They said I must have topped off the gas. I said no. They said then do not put so much gas in at once. Well they just blew me off. I really think this matter needs to be addressed now, before it is too late for someone.
