Unknown Or Other problem #1

Since January 2012, everytime I fill up the car with gas it cuts off coming out of the gas station, waiting at traffic lights, waiting in traffic, and even when driving on the highway. I am afraid to fill the tank. I have learned to circumvent this by not filling the tank. This is a major in. Also, this is dangerous. I have had this happen to me at least 30 times before figuring out not to fill the tank since the mechanic is unable to duplicate the problem without being there when I fill the tank. This car looks good from far but it is far from good!! I have had nothing but problems with it.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

My 2006 Chrysler 300c would not shift out of the park position. I drove it to work that morning with no problems and parked in the parking lot, when I came out to leave after work, it started fine, and as I started to back out of my parking space, the gear shift would not move. I tried moving the steering wheel, shutting the car off and on, and had someone to rock the vehicle with no response. I called a friend and he came over to help me, and could not get it to move either. We went back to his shop and googled it and found that it is a common problem with 300's, avengers, and one other model I cant remember. All you have to type in is Chrysler 300 stuck in park, and you get alot of replies. He read how they had taken the console apart and moved a release lever. We tried that and it didn't work. We then had to use a screwdriver and move a pink thingy to get it to release. I am able to drive the car, but I cannot use p (park) because it locks again. I am using neutral and my emergency brake to keep the car from rolling away. I talked with Chrysler and they said some models had been recalled but not unless they had already been replaced before. Mine is the shifter from the factory and is not included in the previous recall.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

Due to substandard design, the material used to insure proper gear shifting fails. After much research, it appears to be common. The cost of repair and towing does not seem fair when the problem is so common.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

I purchased this 2006 Chrysler 300c in December 2010. I got a carfax report and there wasn't any problems reported on it. Well June 2011 the shift gears got stuck in park and I couldn't shift it down. So my husband sprayed some wd40 on the shift gears and shook the shifter and push the pink thingy thing in and it then it shifted down into drive. Then in September 2011 the shift gears got stuck again and this time the shifter wouldn't shift into park. I was frustrated so I look on the internet about the shift gears on these cars and it was over 100 complaints about the shift gears gettin stuck. So I called Chrysler and inform them about this matter. They did have it fix by a Chrysler dealership but I hope that I don't have this problem again. If I had known that Chrysler 300 had a shift gear mechanism defect I wouldn't of never bought this car. . .
