Latches/locks/linkage problem #1

My 2007 chrsler 300c was driven yesterday without any problems. It was parked in our carport and now the transimission floor shifter is stuck in park. This is the same problem as described Chryslers satification notification k39, the transmission gear shift lever interlock return spring hook. I find that my vehicle is not covered since my vehicle was manufactured in April 2007 and the recall only covers vehicles built between June to Sep 2007.

Latches/locks/linkage problem #2

No event leads up to this event. The shifter for automatic transmissions has a plastic part in 2005-2007 (and maybe more) that is poorly made and breaks. I have seen hundreds of complaints on the web. This happened to my 2006 Chrysler 300. Chrysler's solution is to replace the entire shift mechanism that includes the same poorly manufactured plastic part.
