Takata recall I have received 2 notices in the mail about 2 recalls on my car. I have not received any other information and it appears that the alternator to be replaced still no parts are available . . . With no expected date available. The same with the airbags. I have registered both recalls on line and am waiting for more information.

Vehicle is stuck in park and will not shift out of it. Chrysler is aware a problem exists but conveniently says this car is out of the build date for being affected therefore I'm crazy and it should be an out of pocket expense for me.

The front dash is a leather stitched dash that has started to impeach on the forward vision through the front windshield. It is on the farthest forward part of the car and starting to slowly go up farther with time. This has happened over time while turning driving and all road conditions.

While driving my car just stalled twice once at a red light and took a while to restart and then when making a left turn on the road it just stalled and again it took a couple of times to restart during irma I went outside to move my Jeep wrangler to a safe spot and the car would not start. After the hurricane aaa was allowed to come and tow the car to the dealership because it was still under warranty for the Jeep and they informed me that it was the tipm module so I looked this up and realized there is a problem with the tipm and I asked the dealership if there is recall because it happened twice on the Chrysler 300 and they said no so hopefully it will be recalled soon so I can take it to get it fixed my mother who is 91 can not get in my Jeep and uses a walker and now im afraid if I go further out of town to the doctors that car may shutdown on i75 and and cause a real big accident and I'm handicapped and on a fixed income and don't have the money to replace the tipm. This is 2 cars different years and the same thing plz recall the tipm for the models of cars. I will be also reporting my Jeep but it just happened to be under warranty.

I arrived home and went into the house and my fianc followed about 30 seconds later. I left the car running as I intended to go out for a short trip after dropping her off. We were both on our deck saying goodbye when we saw my car start moving backwards, this was about 60 seconds after she had left the car. I assumed it was being stolen as it was running, so I ran out to try to stop it. I found the car had barked into a fence across the alley and had stopped. There was no driver in the car when it moved. I moved the car back and began investigation as to what happened. The findings were as follows 1. The car was in park when it was parked but left running 2. The display that shows back up camera when in reverse was not activated at any time we were in car. 3. The emergency brake was not applied allowing the car to move. 4. Trying to recreate the incident it was found that if the car is in reverse as soon as the foot brake is released the car starts to move immediately. 5. I tried to recreated by driving around the block and leave it in reverse, again as soon as the brake is released the car moves immediately. This was duplicated 10 times to show consistency. 6. The car was stationary the day of the incident for about 45-60 seconds with no occupants prior to it moving. I checked with the dealer and because it was intermittent they would not be able to address it. I called Chrysler canada and they gave me a file number 31926065 and stated that unless they could duplicate the condition there was nothing they could do and I should call back when it happens again. I expressed concerns for others that may have the same issue as I often have children in the back alley playing.

At 5 p. M. On may 30 I was driving on a tree lined town street (four lanes) with no apparent obstacles when I was certain I'd been hit by gunfire, except it sounded more like a canon. Nothing was immediately apparent except the rush of wind yet I could see that the passenger side windows were closed (as were all windows). I pulled over and looked at the car noticing that my sunroof was shattered! I called 911 as it was clear that nothing natural had hit my car; no projectiles were found and the responding policeman said there was no debris in the road behind me. The glass pointed outward indicating that the explosion originated from within the vehicle. This was a very frightening experience and it was not until I got home and researched the subject that I read that these spontaneous explosions of tempered glass are not uncommon.

Tl- the contact owned a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact was driving 60mph was coming from the engine compartment. The contact was able to pull over when the vehicle caught on fire. The contact sustained an infection in her chest and sought out medical assistance. The fire marshals were called and the vehicle was extinguished and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to sheriffs department, where it was determined to be destroyed. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with, NHTSA campaign number: 06v149000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however the VIN was not included. The contact informed the manufacturer of the issue and told the contact that there was no recall on her vehicle. The mileage was approximately 70,000. Dl.
The shift interlock lever had the return lever spring hook break off. This left the shifter locked in park. Luckily this happened in our driveway at home. I was able to release the shifter however the car is showing the abs light and traction control lights lit on the instrument panel. Also the seat will not fully adjust and the cruise control no longer works. There is currently a recall (k39) on this item for this year and model car, however I was informed by my dealer that my car does not fall within the build date to qualify for the recall. I have the right year and model and the same problem but my vehicle doesn't qualify. I feel that this recall should be expanded to cover all Chrysler vehicles with this problem.
Today for the 1st time since I've had my Chrysler 300c hemi 5. 7 liter v8 just randomly stopped at a red light. After taking out the key and restarting the car back up it continued to run, but as soon as we drove off at a low speed you can hear the engine shake and stumble a bit and wanting to stop. I have never encountered problems before since I got it back in 2014.
Car stalled out while doing 70 mph on freeway without any warnings from onboard systems warning. Limped vehicle to side of road. Car would start back up, but would stall out the entire 5 miles back to my house. Have been apprehensive to drive it because no one can tell me why vehicle is doing this. Vehicle has been sitting in my garage since this incident. I had just had car at dealership to replace gas tank and driver's side airbag a week prior to this happening. Check engine light came on and hasn't gone off since the replacement of gas tank. Have contacted another Chrysler dealership's service department, but don't feel like car will be safe to drive to their location. I'm definitely not going to chance driving on freeway again. Stalling out and damn near being hit from behind was enough for me.
I have been noticing that my car will stall out randomly. When im driving it just stalls out. . . Its pretty scarey. It started about a month ago. . Also. . I have replaced my lower arm controls on both sides and iam still hearing a grinding noice when I turn left. . Please help me to figure this out. .
I see double in my driver side mirror (auto dim). I feel this is a safety issue no matter how many miles or how old the car is and should be taken care of by Chrysler free of charge.
My car keeps shutting off. Today when I was leaving my sons appointment my car shut off it would crank right back up but it kept cutting off. I tryed it five times and it wouldn't stay crunk. I had to leave my car stranded because it was sleeting outside and my son was in the car. I have took my car to the dealership and they continue to tell me they can't diagnose a problem so there's nothing they can do. This problem needs to be fixed before someone gets hurt are killed.
I bought my car in January 2015. As of December 2015 it started stalling. It would start jerking when I gave it gas. It would shut off when I either tried to take off from a complete stop or when I was just stopped or in the middle of me driving within 40 mph. I took it to the Chrysler dealership (not the dealer I bought it from) they diagnosed it was the wiring harness. I paid over $1200 to get it fixed. The same problem happened within 24 hours of me picking it up. It was there for almost 2 months, they said it did not do anything when it was there. Only said I needed a new battery. I had them replace the battery. Then it happened again about a month later. This time they diagnosed the fuel tank needed to be replaced. Once work was complete I picked it up and less than 5 minutes after leaving I was broke down again. This is the 5th time its been there in the last 5 months. Also I never received a refund after the mis-disgnosis! this is frustrating!.
Engine failure. My wife was driving the car and it was running fine. She went into the store and came back out and the car wouldn't start. Had it towed to the dealer and they said catastrophic engine failure and it would be $8000 to repair it. I contacted chrylser customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. I had the car towed to another shop just to find out what was really wrong. I was told this is a very common problem with the 2005-2007 5. 7 hemi motors. He told me it's normally caused by a intake valve seat falling out. Sure enough when he took it apart the #4 intake valve seat had fell out and wrecked the #4 cylinder. I know this might not be a safety issue but I don't know where else to turn. I've been searching this issue online and there are so many people in the same boat as me and we can't get anything done about it. This is not a vehicle model issue this is an engine issue because it is happening in anything that the 5. 7 hemi motor was put in and mainly from 2005-2007. Some people have had this happen to them while driving so I'm just lucky that my failure happened when my wife was parked.
Engine stalls very often even while driving on the hwy. No mechanic neither the dealer has been able to fix it.
Sun roof glass imploded while sitting n my driveway. Called my local police, they said since it was not vandalism, r a crime, no report. I have called my ins, n tomorrow, 10/5/15 will hopefully see n adjuster.
My 300c 2006 engine shuts off. Sitting at a light or driving. Dealer had it, spent 1800. 00. They did not fix. Have it at a garage. They have replaced most sensors. Just spent 390 dollars on a new controller board (brain) its now more frequent. Started happening 2 years ago but not this frequent. Did a coolant flush, transmission flush,.
Drove my car to work in the morning with no problems. After work I started the car and could not shift the gear out of park. I tried several times, turning the car off and on etc. But it would not move. Called the repair shop. They came and removed the shifter assembly to get it to the shop and said they had to replace the entire shift assembly because a small plastic piece was broken inside and they couldn't just replace the piece, it had to be the entire assembly for the cost of $300. 00. No warnings or other issues. After looking the problem up on the internet, seems to be a very common problem with this car make and model. I have also had trouble with this car several times just shutting down or almost shutting off (jerks like you are hit and seems like it is shutting down but then returns to normal) while sitting at a light or a stop sign. Usually it will start back up quickly but it is very dangerous in traffic and I have almost been rear ended 2 times because of it. I took it to the dealership 2 different times complaining about this issue, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong and that the computer system didn't show any problems.
I was unable to get the car out of park. The gear shift was stuck in park. I contacted the dealer who said there was a recall but did not include my VIN. He told me how to bypass the problem to drive it to a mechanic. The shift assembly was replaced at a cost of $427. 08. I would like to be reimbursed or know why my car was not in the recall.
The car cut off 3 times in one day for no apparent reason; once while pulling out into oncoming traffic, then after fueling the car and pulling out of the gas station into oncoming traffic, then while driving down the street at about 35 mph. Fortunately, I safely guided the car to the side of the road to avoid a collision. The dealership replaced 2 sensors (code:p0038)- $501. 98. One week later, the car continued to cut off while driving. The dealership codes that came p0038, p0058, p0052, p0032, pmc & engine harness,& pmc engine computer - $2000 - declined repairs because sensors (p0038) were just replaced . Chrysler service bulletin 08-34-05 June 30, 2015 addresses this issue. Chrysler corp -michael browsowski says the car (now 56,484 miles) is out of warranty so they owe us nothing, but as a good will gesture, they will pay for 2 parts only - not labor. He admitted that a car cutting off is unacceptable, but refused to cover the entire cost of repair. He also refused to reply to my written complaint in writing. Chrysler continues to shirk their responsibility to recall and repair this manufacturer's defect. . Read more...
While attempting to shift the vehicle out of park, the shifter would not move. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a faulty shifter mechanism that needed to be replaced. The cost was $468 and the part online can be repaired at no cost or replaced for $15 to $30. The failure mileage was 32,000. There are thousands of these complaints on the internet for more than just 2006 300c autos. If Chrysler does not admit to the flaw why doesn't the government make them step up and repair or reimburse consumers who will no doubt never buy another Chrysler vehicle? there should be a recall or at least Chrysler should pay when the part fails.
This is the fourth time for this incident my car gave no indication it was about to stall no lights on dash board . It appeared that something switch the ignition to the accessory position. Unable to steer, or use the breaks the car stop immediately can not get to a safe place. . Has been to the Chrysler dealer four time this year for other related problems. But Chrysler was not able to diagnosis or repair this problem. Was told it would not read a code. It was internal problem. For 21days they kept my car without repair. . Second visit was 9-10 days with approximately five day with the owner my latest stay was 4days. My car drove approxmate; 50 miles before stalling again. For the first time I use another repair shop other than Chrysler. The worker seem well pleased when I stated I would not return with the same problem. I spoke with the manger and could not get the problem solved.
The k39 transmission interlock leaver went bad. It would not let me take the car out of park. There was a recall on the 2007 chrylser 300c, but not on the 2005. I found numerous claim on line about this defective piece in the 2005 Chrysler 300c.
Stalled on several occassions after filling the tank up. Also while going at lower speeds. Hassitation and lost of power afterwards. Since my last fill up, the car won't start now. I read that hundreds of other people are having the same problem due to a float swells up into a stuck open position, allowing an overfill condition.
After topping off the gas tank the vehicle was driven two blocks where it was then pulled onto a busy access road in town. The vehicle was slowing down to a red light when the engine stalled for a moment, the oil pressure light came on, then immediately cut out and would not restart. After putting on hazard lights and attempting to call for a tow attempts were made to restart the car and after about 20 minutes of waiting the engine turned over and it was possible to pull the car off the road to a mechanic a block up. The car was scanned and no engine codes were found and oil pressure was found to be fine. The car was given a valve flush and started up fine after that. The incident repeated itself on 3/29/15 once more after filling up the tank, after going to blocks the car once more stalled and shut down. At this point I am very concerned for my safety with this vehicle if this is what is going to happen every time the car needs gas and this should be address with a recall after seeing so many complaints.
My Chrysler 300c constantly smell like fuel. I have taken to the Chrysler dealer who claims he didn't smell anything. Now my vehicle is out of warranty and I still smell fuel. I don't know what to do because the Chrysler experts are not helping the situation. Hopefully you can help me get it resolved. I am not alone. You angel the fuel whether the tank is full or not. You have to drive with the windows open.

Other vehicle crossed over yellow line and hit our car from the middle of the vehicle on drivers side all the way to back and knocked off the back drivers wheel and sent us spinning around into and wrapped around telephone pole. My legs were pinned under dash and couldn't move, passenger door had been badly damaged and pushed in about one foot. Had to be cut out of the car to get me out, taken to er. My complaint is that none of the air bags deployed which I find quite odd. Would like to know where and who to contact to find out why air bag didn't deploy. We do have lots of pictures to back up our claim.
I have a 2006 Chrysler 300c and it would shut off while driving. The fuel tank was replaced and the car still shut off while driving, without any warning. I took the car to another dealership and they couldn't figure out what was wrong,so they said they would have to send a star case to Chrysler engineer,to help figure out what was wrong with the car. They said it was ok to drive until they heard from Chrysler engineer. 16miles and 15days later when I tried to start the car it wouldn't start,so I had it towed back to the dealership and they started the car, then came out and told me I needed a motor. They the motor dropped 2valve seats. Something isn't right about this. I called Chrysler and they won't help.
Vehicle stalls in the middle of the road for no apparent reason. Vehicle stalled initially while driving 45 mph and I lost power steering and had to pull over to the side of the road to restart it. Dealer had vehicle for over 6 months and could not solve the stalling issue. Vehicle currently stalls while sitting at lights etc. Has not stalled lately while driving dealer finally released vehicle to me and basically said there was nothing more they could do as it was a manufacture issue.
It is extremely difficult to put shifter into park. It is usually stuck between r and p. I am required to forcefully pull shifter into neutral to start. This car has been plaqued with some type of electrical issue that I have spent nearly $1000 trying to determine. I am unaware if the problem is related, but my concern is when it appears to be in park, the backup light are on. I can push the shift to put into park. I have removed the shroud in hopes to figure it out. This car is a pain.
