Two problems related to air conditioner have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler 300M. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The air condition compressor almost locked up, which could have disabled the vehicle.
1. Normal everyday driving 2. Air conditioner quit cooling properly. Could smell a salty like smell that turned out to be r-134a refrigerant. Evaporator was leaking and had to be replaced. 3. Replaced air conditioner evaporator. Out of warranty. Cost $1095. 12.
