Two problems related to steering wheel have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler 300M. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving steering wheel locked up bacause of a two inch play in steering wheel. Dealer contacted. Steering wheel binds after making a turn; require a jerk to turn the wheel back. Rack & pinion unit was the problem.
Due to ice inside the rubber boot of the rack and pinion steering, steering column locked up . Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
