The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler 300m. While driving at 45 mph, the vehicle suddenly accelerated when the contact attempted to slow down to make a turn. The failure occurred on two prior occasions and both times, the contact was trying to accelerate to pass another vehicle but the vehicle would not stop accelerating. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 100,500. The current mileage was approximately 101,000.

2 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem of the 1999 Chrysler 300M

Failure Date: 08/01/2001

While backing out of a parking space engine surged and accelerated suddenly. Consumer was not able to stop vehicle, and it crashed into a parked vehicle. There were no injuries during this incident. Dealership could not determine a cause for this problem. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
