Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Aspen. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle's steering wheel would suddenly loosen and become difficult to hold sturdy. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who right steering knuckle had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle's failure related to NHTSA campaign number: 06v386000 (steering) however, the VIN number was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000. Gl.
