Two problems related to wheel have been reported for the 2007 Chrysler Aspen. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 4x4. The contact stated that the wheels randomly locked and the traction control warning indicator randomly flashed. As a result, the power steering was extremely affected and the steering wheel was difficult to maneuver as the front and rear wheels locked up. In addition, the four wheel drive indicator randomly flashed and the gears independently shifted at a low rate of speed. The vehicle was not inspected and diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was also included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags). The approximate failure mileage was 147,000. Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Aspen. The contact stated while the vehicle was being serviced, for new tires there was rust and corrosion underneath the wheel well. As a result the rust, the rims on the vehicle were cracked. The failure was not reported to the dealer, for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 55,000, and the current mileage was 71,000. Rvk.
