Three problems related to steering tie rod assembly have been reported for the 1998 Chrysler Cirrus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer was driving the 1998 Chrysler Cirrus at a speed of around 5 mph when the tie rod broke. The tie rod was on the passenger's side on the front. The mechanic that looked at the vehicle stated that the tie rod should break at low mileage. The mechanic told the consumer that the tie rod was flimsy. The tie rod has been repaired. The dealership has not been contacted. Chrysler has also not been contacted.
Noise on left front tire was due to left side inner tie rod malfunctioning. Consumer contacted Chrysler and they told him that, it wad a normal wear part.
While pulling out of driveway the right tie rod broke, causing the right wheel to face left. Nlm.
