The contact owns a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus. The contact stated that she was rear ended on main street which caused her to crash into a stopped vehicle ahead of her. The vehicle was destroyed. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained moderate injuries. The vehicle was not inspected further for the cause of the air bag failure. The contact stated while in a front end collision the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was totaled. There has been no inspection to see why the air bags did not deploy.
Vehicle slid on ice, ran off the road and hit a tree on driver's side. Speed was estimated at 50-55 mph. Passenge's side airbag deployed, driver side did not deploy. Driver is in a coma. The driver side airbag failed to deploy, as a result the driver has brain injuries.
While vehicle stopped another vehicle struck it in the rear, and the air bags did not deploy.
