Front Air Bag problems of the 1996 Chrysler Concorde

Three problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1996 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 09/03/2002

Consumer states that the vehicle was involved in a low impact aacident of 5 mph 0r less and both air bags deployed. Dealer notified. Consumer suffered hearing loss due to the sound emmitted from the air bags when they opened. Chrysler has declined any responsibility.

2 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/21/1998

Consumer hit a tree head on traveling about 30-40 mph, and there was no deployment of the driver's or passenger's air bags. The vehicle is being repaired.

3 Front Air Bag problem

Air bag deployed with a loud booming noise during crash, leaving driver with ear damage.
