Gasoline Engine problems of the 1997 Chrysler Concorde

Three problems related to gasoline engine have been reported for the 1997 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 01/19/1999

On two occasions vehicle completely shut off while driving. First time happened while pulling into ongoing traffic which almost led to a collision. Second time it happened again, but traffic was normal. Vehicle been in dealer shop on two occasions, and parts were replaced on both times. But, problem is still reoccurring.

2 Gasoline Engine problem

Consumer started the vehicle, put the defroster on and the vehicle caught on fire.

3 Gasoline Engine problem

Engine hesitates, surges and vibrates continuously.
