Failure Date: 03/05/2000

Exact date and mileage are estimated for the purposes of this report: the original report and exact date etc are filed with the dealer. No safety defect listed in summary.

2 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 02/18/2000

Rear, driver side trailing arm sheared from metal fatique, causing rear, driver side wheel to come off. Broken trailing arm also repeatedly bumped against brake line. Front end of car now "shimmies". The replacement part is a completely different design than original part -- the original employed a u-shaped channel design, while the replacement is an enclosed cylindrical form. Manufacturer has refused to respond to owner's letter addressing concerns for the remianing original part on passenger side of vehicle, and has also refused to provide a copy of the "independent" engineer's report on the failure.
