Steering Rack problems of the 1998 Chrysler Concorde

Two problems related to steering rack have been reported for the 1998 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Steering Rack problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2001

There is a crunching noise coming from underneath the vehicle while turning left, the power steering rack was found to be defective, dealer would not replace even though vehicle had low mileage, consumer paid for replacement costs.

2 Steering Rack problem

Failure Date: 04/13/2000

Power steering rack is worn, causing steering to be loose and noisy, consumer states the Chrysler service center did not tend to or acknowledge the problem while the vehicle is under warranty.
