Three problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact was driving on October 3, 2005 when she ran over a ladder that was in the middle of the road. This caused the contacts' vehicle to be hit by another vehicle, causing the vehicle to t hit the brick wall on the freeway. Then, another vehicle hit the contct's vehicle. Upon impact, both of the frontal airbags failed to deploy. The vehicle was totaled after the crash. The contact's neck was sprung due by the airbag failure. The vehicle has not been inspected to see why the airbags failed to deploy.
Vehicle involved in head-on collision. Airbags failed to deploy allowing driver to suffer severe injuries. If air bags had deployed, driver would not have gone forward in vehicle. Driver struck head on steering wheel and broke left hand on tilt-wheel handle. Are there other instances of air bags in Chrysler products not deploying? this is supposed to be the main safety feature and it failed big time.
Consumer was pulling out of parking garage and put vehicle in gear and the vehicle pulled off on its own very fast, causing the consumer to crash into another vehicle. Air bags did not deploy . Dealer has been contacted.
