Two problems related to battery have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While replacing the battery the jack broke and vehicle fell to the ground and consumer was under the vehicle. Consumer sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital. Consumer will contact the manufacturer in the near future.
While traveling highway speed, the automatic transmission down shifted abruptly with no warning. The owner was able to coast down a ramp onto a side street. The cause stated by a mechanic was that the torque converter destroyed itself. Tsthe motor that operates the drivers side window failed. An electrical component failed causing the battery to discharge. Consumer has been refused any compensation for the failure of the torque convertor.
