Headlights problems of the 1999 Chrysler Concorde

: the contact stated the seals for the headlights cracked and the headlights are on the verge of detaching. The dealership determined the entire headlight assembly must be replaced.

: the consumer stated the brake pedal must be pressed down too far to stop the vehicle. The vehicle has been to the dealership and multiple independent repair shops, but there was no repair available. The manufacturer determined this is how the vehicle was made. The headlights on my 1999 Chrysler concord have become foggy and discolored to the point that the lights appear dim in the evening. This appears to be somewhat hazardous as visibility in night driving is necessary. Chrysler says that there is no warranty for the headlights. Cost to replace them is probably in the neighborhood of $700. I have heard this is a common problem. I have had many problems with this vehicle and I realize I bought it used but I feel that these headlights were defective from the beginning.

The headlights have a coating that gradually is getting worse. It's hard plastic headlight that the sun hits, causing it to turn yellow and to have a thick tint of film on it. This can be hazardous at night.
