On July 3,2003 I took my car in for service and told them it was leaking. The car leaks at all doors and in the trunk. Also the trim around the headlights is coming out. I was told that there would be a charge of $134. 49 for the headlight trim repair and $201. 17 for the new door gaskets. The trunk I was not given an estimate on because they said the water doctor would need to repair that. I told them that I felt that the car was defective and I should not have to pay for any repairs. I was called back a week later and was told that the manufacturer would pay 1/3 of the cost of the repair, the service dept. Would pay 1/3 of the cost and I would be required to pay the remaining 1/3. I am not happy with this arrangment as I know this a defect in the car.
Both front door seals have shrunk leaving a 1" gap. Water enters around top of door. Also, the dust seals around both headlamps have shrunk, cannot get them back on.
A molding piece located on the hood by the windshield flew off in traffic. This occurred while driving at 55 mph. The molding was 5 feet long and 4 1/2 feet wide. The reason for the part coming unattached was undetermined.
A long piece of plastic is located between the windshield and the hood. When wind gets under the plastic at high speeds it can fly off and cause an accident. Consumer feels this piece of plastic should be mounted tighter.
