Wiper problems of the 2006 Chrysler Crossfire

This 2006 Crossfire roadster is garage kept. The car was parked, when the glass separated on three sides from the cloth convertible top. Failure of the rear window glass appears to be due to lack of attachment, other than adhesive glue. The cloth convertible top is in good condition. This poses a significant safety hazard to the public, considering the vehicle is rated at speeds in excess of 150 mph. It appears that Chrysler has recalled some 2005 models which have the same type convertible tops and glass windows, made by karmann. As the safety issues continue I would hope that Chrysler would recall all of these defective parts before the public is seriously injured or killed. I await an urgent response from Chrysler to fix this hazardous problem me. Car is stationary and the rear window is separating from the convertible top.

The vehicle's rear window is separating from the convertible top and I am afraid that it will fly off while I'm driving on the highway and kill someone behind me. I noticed the issue while it was parked in my driveway. Chrysler is well aware of this issue with the 2005 models and is not covering any repair of any other years, yet hundreds of people with cars from each year have complaints on many internet forums.

Back window fell off the convertible top. I see this is the same issue with 2005 (which was repaired/recall by the mfg). Dealer said it was up to me to repair, had to ship the top to California for a complete new top (~ $3k). I live in florida. Don't understand how a back window falling off a moving car is not a safety issue. Only ~ 22k miles.

Rear glass in convertible top has separated from the fabric. Vehicle has less than 30,000 miles and is garage kept. Vehicle is not abused and top has only been retracted a total of approximately 15 times so it can not even be attributed to "normal wear and tear". This seems to me to be a manufacturing defect.

After putting the top down and putting it back up, most of the top and corners of the rear window were loose from the roof fabric, I called the Chrysler dealership to find out how it could be repaired. They told me that a new convertible top would be needed. It could not be repaired. Chrysler dealer quoted $1,650 for the top and $1,000 for labor.

It appears chryslet has extended their warranty on 2005 models for this very same problem. What ever fix they think they made for later models didn't work. They need to cover this safety issue.

Rear window is coming apart from the top. Glue joint is failing, window falling out for no reason that I can see. Chrysler does not want to own the problem, in all of the years, 2004 thru 2008 for the Crossfire conv. This is a problem with the Crossfire conv.

I pulled over and secured it before it flew off and potentially hit another car or pedestrian. This is a previously know problem with this model for the 2004 and 2005 model years. Chrysler has issued a recall for cars with this problem in certain southern states of which I live in one texas. I contacted Chrysler today and they indicated my area was covered but not my model year. I have seen numerous complaints online about this occurring in other 2006 models. This could potentially be an extreme hazard to other autos and pedestrians.

Chrysler extended the warranty on the 2005 model and acknowledged that the back window on the convertibles tend to come unglued and fall out. I own a 2006 model and I just got off the phone with a Chrysler rep and she said "there have been no reports" for the 2006 back window coming unglued on the convertibles so I have to pay for the repair out of my pocket and "keep good receipts" in case Chrysler decides to take ownership of it's manufacturing defect in the 2006 model. I don't understand how the same manufacturing defect can be recognized for one year and not the next. What can Chrysler produce to show that they fixed the problem with the 2006 convertibles? also, I see many people complaining that the 2006 model has the same problem with the rear window falling out so why am I the only complaint on record with Chrysler??? this is a safety issue not a cosmetic problem. Why wouldn't Chrysler want their vehicles to be safe? I was also told on the phone that there are some things that are maintenance issues that are the responsibility of the owner. I never thought in a million years that I it would be my responsibility to ensure all the windows stayed on the car!!!!.

However, after contacting Chrysler and talking to lyonnise id lm1053 I was told that there was nothing that Chrysler would do about it because the bulletin refers to 2005 models. I told her to escalate the complaint and later I've got a call from a pamela pretending she was a supervisor and told me that she never heard of any rear windows separating from the cloth convertible top. I explained to her that this is a factory defect and there are hundreds if not thousands of people with the same issue, complaining all over the internet about it, but she refused to do anything about it. After suggesting to her to look up the bulletin no TSB 23-035-11 she said there is no such thing. This is a serious issue and Chrysler has to do something about it before someone dies as a result of these windows separating from the convertible top.
